"Sajuna!"
Akira, carrying his schoolbag, saw Sajuna across the street and quickly waved to her.
"Aki-Kun!"
Sajuna saw her boyfriend waving at her and couldn't help but quicken her pace, walking towards Akira. Only when she reached him did she slowly call out his name.
Sajuna wasn't with Fujiwara Kako today. Firstly, because final exams were over, Sajuna wanted to go on a date with Akira as soon as possible. Secondly, Kyoko also had other friends; she couldn't possibly spend every day with Sajuna, could she?
Not to mention whether Kyoko-chan's friends would have an opinion, at least her own boyfriend would!
"Sajuna, you're not very lively today!"
After they had walked side-by-side for a few dozen meters, Akira reached out and held Sajuna's hand. Sajuna looked up, a puzzled expression on her face.
"Normally, Sajuna would eagerly pounce into her boyfriend's arms when she saw him, or at the very least, want to hold his hand."
But today, when Sajuna ran over, she simply called out "Aki-Kun" and did nothing else.
This was truly too unusual!
"Is something on your mind?"
Akira gently stroked Sajuna's hair, smiling as he looked at her cheek.
Under Akira's gentle gaze, Sajuna couldn't help but give in. She lowered her head slightly and, a little incoherently, voiced her thoughts.
"No, aren't we on holiday already?"
"So, I just, couldn't help but start thinking about how to spend the holiday…"
Sajuna turned her head to look at the billboards on the street.
Their daily lives were already quite intimate; besides classes, when they felt like they were in school, most of the time it felt like all their time was spent accompanying each other.
For Sajuna, holidays originally held no special meaning, but ever since she started dating Aki-Kun, she began to look forward to their free time together…
"So that's it."
Akira nodded, as if he hadn't noticed Sajuna's shyness, and walked along the street, holding Sajuna's hand.
He didn't want to go home just yet, but he also didn't know where to go.
As they walked, they found themselves in the shopping street. Seeing more and more tourists, Akira's spirits also began to liven up.
"Is there anything Sajuna wants to buy?"
"Before, all the things we bought were pretty and cute clothes. I feel like we haven't bought anything else."
Akira said. Although he had mostly thought of it as dressing up a real-life doll before, after many shopping trips, most of which involved looking at and buying clothes, which made him feel a little embarrassed.
"Aki-Kun, why don't we go eat first?"
"Eh, is Sajuna hungry?"
Akira asked, looking down.
He hadn't expected Sajuna to actively ask to eat. Compared to other entertainment activities, eating certainly lacked some of the romance of a date.
After all, they would inevitably focus their attention on the food in front of them. For Akira and Sajuna, once the food was on the table, eating inevitably became the top priority.
If they were both foodies, then such an emphasis on gourmet food would be understandable.
But neither of them was very greedy for such culinary pleasures, so the primary purpose of eating was simply to quickly move on to what they wanted to do next.
Akira and Sajuna arrived at a food court shop in the shopping street. They looked up together at the various food types written on the wall inside the shop, then found a seat and sat down.
As usual, a laminated menu lay on the table. Akira picked up the menu, and a waiter from nearby walked over.
"Excuse me, what would you like to order?"
"What does Sajuna want to eat?"
"Two portions of grilled eel, please."
Sajuna looked up and told the waiter, then shyly smiled at Akira and explained.
"The grilled eel on their menu looks really delicious, so I thought I'd order it."
"Hmm."
Akira nodded, then asked Sajuna across from him.
"What would Sajuna like to drink?"
"I want Calpis!"
Akira nodded, then called over the waiter and ordered two Calpis drinks.
The Calpis was brought over shortly. Sajuna took the cup with the drink and began to sip it.
Why did the drink today not taste as good as usual? Sajuna looked up at the calm Akira across from her. Perhaps it had something to do with Aki-Kun's mood today.
After all, if her boyfriend didn't seem very happy, wasn't it normal for her, as his girlfriend, not to feel happy either?
So, Sajuna took a sip of Calpis and looked up, a little red-faced, at Akira's quiet profile.
She suddenly realized that most of the time when they encountered psychological problems, it was usually her, while Aki-Kun was the listener.
She should fulfill her duties as a girlfriend more often.
Thinking this, Sajuna extended her small hand and waved to Akira.
"Aki-Kun."
"Hmm, what's wrong, Sajuna?"
Akira put down the Calpis he was holding and looked at Sajuna, who had a cautious expression.
"Aki-Kun, is something on your mind?"
"No."
Akira said, puzzled, "Why would Sajuna think that?"
"Because Aki-Kun, you don't seem very lively today…"
Sajuna said with a troubled expression. She felt that Aki-Kun usually couldn't help but tease her when he saw her.
She subconsciously forgot that Akira had already said something like that to her when they first met.
Sajuna hadn't realized yet that it was her own reasons that caused Akira's mood not to be very high.
"It's because of Sajuna."
Akira sighed.
He had originally thought that Sajuna's mood wasn't very lively, so he subconsciously assumed that something was on her mind.
Akira didn't want to force Sajuna to reveal what was on her mind; he wanted Sajuna to tell him voluntarily, so he had prepared himself to listen.
But, judging by Sajuna's behavior now, it seemed he had overdone it.
Sajuna didn't have anything on her mind at all?
With this conjecture, Akira directly stated the reason for his emotional change.
"Eh, me?"
"Yes, it's Sajuna. Sajuna hasn't kissed me today. I thought Sajuna had something on her mind."
"I, I don't have anything on my mind!"
Sajuna clenched her fists and gestured in front of her chest, arguing.
Thinking of her own evaluation of Aki-Kun as "Is he trying to do something bad?" and Aki-Kun's words "Sajuna hasn't done any kissing today," the images of the two instantly appeared in Sajuna's mind, making her feel ashamed and indignant.
Should she say Aki-Kun was bad?
Or should she say she was so embarrassed?
"It's just because I was thinking about the holiday, and I couldn't help but feel shy when I saw Aki-Kun!"
"It's not because I have anything on my mind!"
Sajuna argued loudly.
Then she closed her eyes, curled up into a ball, and in a voice just loud enough for Akira to hear, she ordered.
"I'm going to punish Aki-Kun. Quick, come over and kiss me."
Akira couldn't help but beam with joy.
