Chapter 124 - [124]: Wandering around the venue

The two of them looked at the various exhibits at the Anime Convention, their faces filled with expressions of novelty.

"Aki-Kun, look over there."

Sajuna hugged Akira's arm, her light summer clothes even allowing Akira to feel the texture of the fabric on her clothes.

However, Akira had no bad intentions. He looked in the direction Sajuna was pointing and saw a restaurant hosting a fan exhibition for a game.

"Want to go check it out?"

Akira turned his head and asked. He didn't really understand what game the shop was related to, but Sajuna seemed very interested.

"Mhm."

Sajuna nodded, and the two of them held hands as they walked into the restaurant and found a table to sit at.

On the four-person table was a menu with various game recovery potions and dishes drawn on it.

Sajuna picked up the menu from the table and looked at it, then turned her head to ask Akira for his opinion.

"Aki-Kun, what kind of dish do you want to eat?"

"I'll have the same as Sajuna."

Sajuna's heart temporarily settled, and she began to order: "Honey Candy, Sanhaiyaki, and then fried eggs and recovery potions."

"Make them all double portions, please."

Sajuna instructed the cosplaying waitress.

"Aki-Kun, aren't you going to ask me why I wanted to eat here?"

Sajuna asked Akira curiously. It should have been Akira's question, but instead, it made Sajuna curious.

Aki-Kun is always so calm and confident...

"It should be related to Sajuna's childhood, right?"

Sajuna nodded, looked around the surroundings, and said.

"Although I didn't really like playing games when I was little, because I liked Magical Girls, I still tried quite a few role-playing games."

"Even though I never played them for very long, thinking about it now, they all became beautiful memories."

Sajuna's face showed a brilliant smile, her eyes full of nostalgia for the past, but it only lasted for a short two seconds before her gaze turned towards Akira.

"Of course, now is also very good, because I met Aki-Kun."

Akira saw Sajuna's coquettish look and couldn't help but reach out and stroke Sajuna's hair. Seeing Sajuna nuzzling into his palm, he subconsciously moved his hand under Sajuna's chin and scratched.

"Meow."

Sajuna let out a cat's meow, and seeing Akira's surprised expression, she couldn't help but laugh.

After that time she rubbed her cheek against Aki-Kun like a cat and made him shy, Sajuna somewhat understood where Aki-Kun's 'moe' point was.

Although in reality he always seemed to want to take care of her, when Sajuna truly acted like a cute pet, it was Akira who couldn't handle it first.

It was just a simple 'meow', but it felt like Aki-Kun had lost his soul.

Akira's cheeks couldn't help but flush.

In a public place, he scratched his girlfriend's chin and made her meow; such a thing was truly hard to keep a straight face about.

For both his mind and body, it was no small challenge.

"Customer, here are your dishes."

A waitress dressed in a costume similar to a Magical Girl placed the plates on Akira and Sajuna's table.

Looking at the good-looking dishes on the table, especially how they were specially beautified to replicate their appearance in the game, Akira could only say that they successfully caught his attention.

As for the two cans of recovery potion the waitress brought over, Akira picked up a glass bottle of potion, pulled out the cork stopper, and sniffed it.

It wasn't alcohol, nor did it smell of taurine, so it didn't seem to be an energy drink.

Slowly pouring two sips of the recovery potion into his mouth, Akira finally tasted the flavor of the recovery potion. It was probably an exclusive drink made from a blend of several fruit juices.

How talented...

Akira could only comment on the shop like this, as he felt that there should be quite a few customers eager to try something new.

Sajuna, on the other hand, watched Aki-Kun fiddle with the recovery potion in front of him with an amused expression. She couldn't help but feel that Aki-Kun was so childish like this.

Sajuna's face couldn't help but show a motherly smile.

"Sajuna, aren't you eating?"

Akira felt a little embarrassed seeing Sajuna watching him try the recovery potion, her hand propping up her cheek.

"I'll eat with Aki-Kun now."

Sajuna said this, took two spoons from the nearby cutlery box, and handed one to Akira.

Akira took the spoon Sajuna handed him, scooped up a spoonful of the dish on the table, and slowly brought it to his mouth.

"It's actually quite tasty."

"Is it tasty?"

Sajuna saw a smile appear on Akira's face before she felt relieved enough to scoop a spoonful into her own mouth.

"I always feel like Sajuna is experimenting on me."

Akira couldn't help but complain.

"No, I'm not."

Sajuna fanned her cheeks, as if trying to dissipate the heat from embarrassment.

"Because I ordered the dishes for Aki-Kun after all, I couldn't help but want to hear Aki-Kun's evaluation."

Akira nodded, indicating that he understood Sajuna's thoughts.

When people who aren't very good at cooking prepare a dish, their first thought is to have someone taste it. Do they want someone to help them test for poison?

It's just to let that person have the first bite of the dish they made.

The intention is what matters; the taste can be discussed later.

However, this time the dishes were indeed a bit beyond Akira's expectations. Even though they leaned towards fan-made cuisine, the taste of the dishes themselves was also good, and all the combinations were perfectly handled.

Akira gave Sajuna a thumbs up, "The dishes Sajuna ordered taste great."

"Aki-Kun, with such praise, you're almost making me think I made the dishes..."

After finishing their meal, Akira saw that Sajuna had no desire to stay longer, so he took her out of the restaurant.

"Aki-Kun, should we go back to the autograph session?"

Akira nodded, "Originally, we were going to the autograph session booth, but if Sajuna has any plans, the autograph session can be put off."

Sajuna's gaze swept over the dense crowd in the exhibition hall, seeing all sorts of cosplayers. Although there were some characters she liked, they didn't bring her much joy.

Indeed, it's better to be by Aki-Kun's side.

Sajuna couldn't help but think to herself, but Sajuna also knew that constantly clinging to Aki-Kun was wrong.

Not only would Aki-Kun not like such a girl (maybe?), but even she herself couldn't stand the type who makes her boyfriend her whole world.

Indeed, she needed to work harder to grow to a point where she could help Aki-Kun.

After all, people always say that if the levels are different, the distance between people will slowly widen until they disappear from each other's worlds with no further interaction.

Sajuna sometimes thought that Aki-Kun in her eyes was so perfect, so she should constantly improve herself just like Aki-Kun, at least to be a bit closer.

That way, Aki-Kun would be more real in her world and wouldn't have to take care of her too much.
