Thankfully, it didn't seem like the incident in the school bathroom was going to court.
For once, it seemed like something was finally going Izuku's way. It was the bare minimum in such a disastrous event, but it would soon be behind him.
Bakugou was moving away. That was probably for the best. He could have a relatively fresh start, and put everything that happened behind him. The incident would be on the blonde's record, but it wouldn't destroy his future like it certainly could have if he and his mom had pursued it.
The change would be great on them, but Bakugou's parents were wealthy. Their lines of work were adaptable enough for the change in their living circumstances, and they could still find jobs several cities away.
They would be fine. That alone gave Izuku solace.
He held out hope that they would see each other again at UA. Many things haven't gone according to his plans, and Bakugou's record was no longer clean, but things could still work out. If the two of them met up again, maybe they could finally work things out between them.
Bakugou might not be the same Kacchan he knew, but he would still like to know him. There might have been many similarities, but the two versions of him were not the same. The few people he recognized from before he returned each had nuance that differentiated them. It hurt, as it always did when he thought about the past, but he couldn't blame anyone here for that. He couldn't hold his own turmoil against them, and he wanted to try again despite the differences.
That would have to wait, just like in the first timeline. The two of them had remained enemies for over a decade up until a good portion of their time in UA. Izuku still wasn't sure if he could call each other close friends or anything, but he liked to think they were amicable.
He would just have to wait and see how that dynamic would unfold again.
Sitting on his wheelchair in front of his computer desk, Izuku lamely rolled a pencil with his index finger until it tumbled off his Hero Notebook. Just like before whenever he spotted a hero jumping around through the streets or taking on a villain either in person or through video, he'd gotten the urge to draw and right down their specs. His tough experiences of the past might have forced him to mature quicker, but his preferences hadn't changed.
He still loved Heroes.
Currently, he was on Volume 7 for Hero Analysis for the Future: Act 2. He'd deigned the original 13 books from the past as Act 1 and left them as their own series. Knowing them all by heart, it didn't take him long at all to recreate them here. They were filled with all his passion, and he gave more elaborate information with writing each Hero's specialties and redrew them in much greater detail. Act 2 put everything he currently knew from his own experiences, and theories on how certain Heroes could improve their powers and niches.
Most of his time was spent on practical endeavors to grow and prepare himself for the future, but a kid like him could still find time to draw. He could go as far to say his drawing skills had improved.
Idly flipping the pages entirely filled out with Bakugou and the many avenues he'd gotten stronger with his Quirk previously, his green eyes glanced at the wrappings around his left hand. The doctors stated he would make a full recovery, and he was confident about that too. That included his hand, although it may end up retaining a burn scar.
It had slipped his mind before, but Izuku never considered he might have built up a small resistance to heat in his past life. Bakugou had harassed him senselessly, and wasn't afraid to set off a minor explosion to hurt him whenever he felt like it. Those little actions could have added up to a point where burns varying between first and third degree wouldn't scar his body. With One for All, his body toughness had only grown.
He didn't have that built-up resistance now. He and Bakugou were never around each other for the bully to target him like before.
Staring at the blank pages, he felt a sigh slip out. It was hard to remain in the mood for this right now. He just felt so... grounded. Held back. What could he possibly due in the meantime while he remained glued to a chair?
Leaning backwards in his chair, his eyes fell on his computer monitor. He had closed his research tabs, saving them so he could pick up on anything he needed to later. There was simply the video of All Might he always found himself watching. That and the game he always had up for secrecy.
...
Maybe he could finally play it for once?
As Izuku went to click on the tab, his eye caught another video on the sidebar recommendations. Usually what appeared in this slot were other videos of All Might that he had already incessantly watched to death. This one, however, was recently uploaded and only had a few hundred views.
It was someone with a relatively new channel, and the video was titled, 'I Saw All Might.'
Interest immediately piqued, the young time traveler clicked and watched the video. It was only a couple minutes, but it was enjoyable and funny to watch. The teenager who recorded it had seen All Might on top of a building as he let out his signature, heavy laugh. A few other residents walking along the road had noticed the Hero and become in awe, before he had jumped away. Just like that, he was gone leaving everyone behind in shock and amazement at his speed.
Izuku had seen a couple of these type of videos in the past. While nothing important transpired in them, it was always fun to watch All Might be All Might, filling everyone with hope as they watched The Symbol bolt away to save the day.
Most people in the world were infatuated with All Might, so of course many different recordings of him in plentiful scenarios existed. It made it so this video wasn't too unique among others, and would likely get drowned out by the algorithm for more popular videos by more popular creators.
A bit more curious about the uploader, Izuku clicked on their channel to see their other content. Other than a video of a pair of Heroes quickly rushing down a street, there wasn't anything else uploaded.
An insignificant channel by all means, yet it had sparked something within him. It had given him an idea.
Maybe... just maybe... he should make videos of his own?
What would they be about?
Heroes, of course.
...No, it had to be more than that.
People. They should be about people. How people could become Heroes, even if that didn't necessarily mean becoming one.
His eyes turned towards the comic book on the side of his desk. He'd finally finished the series, and he thought over the characters and messages within it. While the story may be fictional, Izuku still believed it was inspiring.
And it wasn't just that one. There were other Hero comics from the past as well. People, ordinary people, who had become super. They became super, and chose to do the right thing.
That's what he wanted to make videos about. Inspiring people to do the right thing. To be heroic, even if they were not professional Heroes.
He had no idea if a channel like that could thrive on the internet. Boundless and competitive as it was, he would likely be drowned away like this person was, and millions of others who uploaded.
Making videos wasn't something he had considered before, especially in this second chance at his life. It would have been a waste of time when he could be doing something more important. Now temporarily bound to a chair and having a begrudging amount of time at his disposal, he figured why not test it out. Even if he didn't upload a ton, or stopped at some point, he would feel satisfied if his videos at least helped someone out there.
He could try, at least.
