Chapter 419: Six Paths Garp Clashes Head-On With Imu!
Kaido's massive frame stiffened abruptly, even his breathing coming to a halt. Whitebeard Newgate tightly gripped the Murakumogiri in his hands, veins bulging on the back of his hands. Red-Haired Shanks felt a wave of numbness wash over his scalp, cold sweat trailing down his forehead.
Who was that?
That was the master of the Empty Throne!
That was the King of the World who trampled the Celestial Dragons beneath her feet and had ruled this sea for a full eight hundred years!
Everyone's gazes began to dart frantically between Imu and Garp. Their hearts were convulsing violently.
An ancient god who had ruled the world for eight hundred years. An old Marine hooligan who had just looted a full set of hacks from an alternate world dungeon.
Were these two out-and-out monsters going to throw down in this small tavern?!
Doflamingo hid under the bar counter in the corner, his teeth chattering. The eyes hidden behind his pink sunglasses were filled with extreme terror and a morbid excitement.
Fight!
Fight, damn it!
He wanted to know so badly! He was so curious to see if the current Garp actually possessed the qualifications to challenge that high and mighty King of the World!
It wasn't just Doflamingo. Sengoku, Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji—the highest combat forces of the Marines who had just cleared the dungeon together—all held their breath.
Sengoku gulped, his palms slick with cold sweat. He knew exactly what kind of terrifying rewards Garp had just received.
Six Paths: Yang Power!
Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack!
The current Garp possessed a physical body so formidable that he could easily crush space itself. But against Imu's unfathomable "Ki," could Garp hold his ground?
Behind the bar counter. Blake leaned lazily against his chair, holding that steaming cup of pure black coffee. Unconcealed amusement and anticipation flickered in his clear, silver eyes.
"Bwahahahahahaha!"
Deafening, maniacal laughter nearly blew the roof off the tavern. Garp ripped off his tattered Marine Justice cloak, revealing his lean, steel-cast muscles. In his eyes—eyes that had walked through the Gate of Death and been reforged by the Six Paths: Yang Power—burned an unprecedented, brutal battle intent!
"Since Lord Imu has spoken personally."
"As a Marine, how can this old man disobey!"
Garp grinned widely, smiling like an out-and-out old hooligan. He clenched his fists and swung them casually twice, instantly producing ear-piercing sonic booms in the air.
Then, he incredibly arrogantly wiped his nose with his thumb.
"However…"
"If this old man beats you to tears, don't blame me!"
BOOM!!!
Those words detonated directly in the Foosha Village tavern like a nuclear bomb with a yield of hundreds of millions of tons!
Everyone's scalps exploded in that instant! Sengoku nearly spat out a mouthful of old blood on the spot.
"Garp! What the hell kind of nonsense are you spouting, you old bastard?!" Sengoku instinctively roared.
But as soon as he finished yelling, he realized he lacked any confidence. That was Imu standing opposite them! The behind-the-scenes overlord of the World Government!
But looking again at the current Garp. The golden sun mark glowing on his right arm, the unfathomable Senjutsu chakra like an abyss within his body.
Sengoku suddenly felt that Imu… didn't seem quite as terrifying anymore?
Garp squeezed his fists, his knuckles letting out a series of sharp pops like firecrackers. This old man had lived most of his life without ever knowing how to spell the word "fear."
Sengoku covered his face, saving his breath on trying to stop him. He understood his old partner's temper too well. Right now, let alone Imu, even if the Creator stood before him, Garp would still step up and give them a solid one-two.
Behind the bar counter, Blake gently set down his pure black coffee cup. A trace of disgust flashed in his clear eyes.
"If you're going to fight, roll outside and do it."
"If you break even a single table in my shop, I'll bag you both up and hang you from the crooked neck tree outside like dried jerky."
Blake's words were far from polite. But whether it was Imu, who had ruled the world for eight hundred years, or Garp, who had just obtained the Six Paths: Yang Power, neither had the temper to retort. Everyone still clearly remembered the image of Kaido being tied to that tree to enjoy the sea breeze.
Blake's long finger casually swiped through the air.
Riiiip.
A massive spatial rift was torn open right in the center of the tavern's main hall. The salty sea breeze blew in through the passage. At the other end of the passage was a giant deserted island in the Calm Belt of the East Blue. The area was large enough, and it was uninhabited, making it perfectly suited for these two monsters to wreak havoc.
Without any superfluous nonsense, Garp hoisted his fists, which were as large as sandbags, and swaggered through the void rift.
Imu's face darkened. She gave a cold harrumph, her body floating lightly, flying low to the ground as she passed through.
After the two departed, the rift didn't close. Blake snapped his fingers, and the rift directly transformed into a wide, high-definition broadcast screen, projecting the scene on the deserted island into the tavern.
The pirates in the main hall all unanimously swallowed hard. No one drank or boasted anymore. Everyone's attention was entirely focused on the light screen. Whitebeard tightened his grip on the Murakumogiri, his eyes wide open. Kaido sat in the corner, not even daring to breathe too loudly. The wine glass in Doflamingo's hand dropped to the floor and shattered, his eyelids twitching madly behind his pink sunglasses.
Because this was a true, peak showdown of this world.
On the deserted island. The sky was as gloomy as a massive lead block soaked in water. There were no unnecessary opening remarks. Imu ripped off the cumbersome black robe covering her body.
Beneath her pale skin, terrifying, heart-palpitating energy began to surge. That was the "Ki" she had exchanged for a hefty price from the Dragon Ball world. Although it was just a basic cultivation method, combined with the massive life force Imu had accumulated over eight hundred years, this energy had stacked up to an absolutely absurd, astronomical figure.
BOOM!
A dazzling white aura exploded from beneath Imu's feet, shooting straight into the clouds. The air around the aura was instantly ignited by the high temperature, producing deafening sonic booms. Even the hard reefs beneath her feet were reduced to fine powder by this tyrannical coercion.
Imu hovered in mid-air, looking down on Garp from above. This sensation of power, so full it felt ready to explode, intoxicated her immensely. She felt that the current her pulling down the stars from the sky and crushing them wouldn't be a difficult task.
"Mortal."
"Experience what true divine wrath is."
The Calm Belt, the deserted island. The sky hung low, black clouds pressing down on the city. The sea was as calm as death, without a single ripple. Even the Sea Kings had fled into the deep oceanic trenches, shivering in fear due to those two terrifying auras.
Imu hovered in mid-air, white aura surging beneath her feet. That was "Ki" converted purely from life energy. Although crude and lacking any technique whatsoever, the sheer volume was overwhelming. It was like a primitive man wielding a nuclear bazooka; even if she didn't understand ballistics, as long as she pulled the trigger, she could destroy everything.
"Mortals are always ignorant of true power." Imu spoke indifferently.
She didn't even bother to move her hands; she merely shifted her gaze.
BOOM!
The white aura surrounding her suddenly expanded, transforming into countless fist-sized spheres of light that densely covered the entire sky. The energy contained within each sphere of light was enough to blow a warship to pieces.
She had seen this move in the "Dragon Ball" dungeon; it seemed to be called something like "Prince's Tactics." There was no technical skill to it; it was just smashing people with energy.
