The Kugorane Arc is going to be a major turning point in the series. Noah will finally begin telling his crew what happened to him during his journey 800 years into the past. The truth he discovered there changes everything.
Most of the islands in the past will have advanced technology, similar in style to Egghead, creating a world that feels both ancient and futuristic at the same time.
We'll also be getting a small glimpse of Joyboy. I'm waiting for more official information about him in the manga so I can portray him in a way that feels accurate and meaningful, which may slow the pacing of this arc a little.
Originally, I planned for this to be a 20–30 chapter arc, but because the 800-year past storyline is so important, I've decided to combine and expand it. This arc will now likely run for 50–80 chapters, possibly even up to 100, as I want to do it justice.
Some of you might also be wondering why Yuki is the one teaching Noah Haki. The reason is simple Noah never knew how to properly manifest it , and he needs haki to breath properly.
If you're wondering who Yuki is, she was introduced briefly earlier in the story during Noah's time on the island of the dragon people.
Once this arc is complete, we'll return to the present storyline.
