Chapter 157 - Chapter 151: Lily

They walked until they reached a glass door. The door opened as they got closer.

Noah smiled. "…Nice."

They entered the room, it was full of people.

Voices filled the the room as machines moved around clearing the tables. While food was being delivered on floating trays.

Noah looked around. "Where do I order the food?" he asked.

Yuki looked at him and sighed. "We are going to another section. Follow me."

Noah followed behind her like a little child, looking left and right at everything.

"…I feel lost," he said.

"You are," Hikamaru replied.

Yuki stopped at another door and opened it.

Inside the room was quiet and only one person was there. A girl sat across the room.

She looked up and her eyes landed on Yuki.

"Yuki," the girl said.

Noah paused.

[Noah's Thoughts]

Wow...She's…Yeah… I'm not ready for this.

A minute had passed and noah was still there standing, staring at the girl.

"Hello," the girl said gently. "Is your friend alright?"

Yuki sighed.

She stepped closer to Noah and pinch him.

"OW!" Noah cried out. "That hurt!"

"Introduce yourself and stop being weird," Yuki said.

"I wasn't being weird," Noah replied.

"You were staring," Yuki said.

"…Okay, maybe a little." Noah replied.

Noah cleared his throat and stood straight.

"My name is Noah. It's a pleasure to meet you," he said.

The girl smiled.

"My name is Lily. It's a pleasure to meet you, Noah," she replied.

[Noah's Thoughts]

This chick is… yeah… I need to calm down.

Little noah please calm down....

Noah stepped forward and reached out his hand.

Yuki stepped right between them.

"No," she said.

Noah blinked. "…What do you mean no?"

"Food first," Yuki said, glaring at him.

Noah's body shivered.

"…Why did that feel like a threat?"

"It was," Yuki replied.

Lily covered her mouth, trying not to laugh.

"She hasn't changed," Lily said.

"No, she has not," Hikamaru added.

Noah points at Yuki. "You just blocked my handshake."

"You were moving too slow," Yuki replied.

"I was being polite!"

"You were being pervy," Yuki said.

"How is a handshake pervy?!"

"You looked too happy," she replied.

Noah paused. "…I don't like your logic."

Yuki turned away. "Sit."

Noah sat.

"…Wow. I just got ordered like a dog."

"Good," Yuki said.

Lily laughed softly. "You two are interesting."

"No," Noah said. "She's the problem."

"I am not the problem," Yuki replied.

"You pinched me!" Noah said.

"You deserved it." Yuki replied.

"For what?!" Noah asked

"For thinking lervy," Yuki said.

Noah froze. "…I wasn't thinking about anything pervy"

"Yes you were.." Yuki replied.

"…No." Noah said

Lily smiled. "I like him."

Yuki glanced at her.

"…No."

Noah blinked. "Wait, what do you mean no?"

Yuki crossed her arms. "No."

Noah looked at Hikamaru. "Help me out here."

Hikamaru shake his head. "You are on your own."

Noah sighed. "…This is going to be a long day."

A tray of food floated towards them.

Yuki grabbed it first.

"Eat," she said.

Noah looked at the food… then at her.

"…You're lucky I'm hungry."

Yuki sat down calmly.

"I know."

Lily watched them, smiling.

"…You two seem like Soulmates," she said.

Yuki froze for half a second.

Noah choked on his food.

"WHAT?!" Noah said, coughing. "No, no, no. Don't just say things like that casually!"

Hikamaru quietly sipped his drink. "This is going to get worse."

Yuki slowly turned her head toward Lily.

"Lily," she said calmly. "Be careful with your words."

Lily tilted her head, still smiling. "I am careful."

"You are not," Yuki replied.

Noah pointed between them. "Okay, wait… why is everyone acting like I'm not even here?"

"You are eating," Yuki said.

"That doesn't delete my existence!"

"It helps," she replied.

Lily laughed softly again. "You haven't changed one bit."

Noah paused. "…She's been like this since forever?"

Lily blinked. "Pretend like you didn't hear me say that."

The room went quiet for a second.

Hikamaru slowly lowered his cup.

Noah leaned forward. "Okay… but soulmates? Yuki and I just met each other today. We're not even friends… right, Yuki?"

Yuki didn't answer immediately. She gently placed her hands on the table.

"You talk too much," she said.

Noah froze.

"…Talk too much?" he repeated.

Yuki clicked her tongue. "Don't start."

Lily smiled. "You two are so cute together.

"

Hikamaru muttered, "Probably."

Yuki shot him a look. He went silent instantly.

Noah slowly looked between them. "Okay… so let me get this straight."

He counted on his fingers.

"One: Yuki is scary."

Yuki nodded once. "Correct."

"Two: she's a dragon."

Yuki nodded again. "Correct."

"Three: I am completely surrounded by people who are way stronger than me."

Hikamaru raised a hand slightly. "…Correct."

Noah leaned back in his chair. "Great. Love that for me."

Lily leaned forward slightly, resting her chin on her hand.

"So," she said softly, eyes on Noah. "You said you just met her today."

Noah nodded. "Yeah… she saved me."

"She did," Lily replied.

Noah gave a dry laugh. "Yeah, and Hikamaru almost killed me."

Yuki watched Lily carefully. "He is telling the truth."

Lily smiled faintly. "I believe you. I know how Hikamaru behaves when he's drunk."
