Chase jolted awake, which In turn wakes Jasmine who was beside him. She looked up to him in a daze only to see a look of pure terror written across his face.
"What's going on?" She asked, quickly switching from her relaxed posture, now staring at Chase with focus as she sat on the bed.
Staring at him now was like looking at a different person. Even as his life was in danger he stood his ground, yet now he seemed like a child hiding from his own imagination.
As he turned to look at her and saw her questioning glance, his look became slightly more relaxed as he spoke: "please never peak inside my head again."
A bit disgruntled, she ignored that for a moment. "What is the thing that has you so riled up? I need an answer."
"I'll tell you another time. For now, we gotta get out of here."
Looking around, the room was small for having two beds in it. It only had enough space for a person to set aside their things and go to bed.
