She rubbed her temples, picked up the long-cold coffee and took a sip. The bitter taste sobered her up a bit.
Just then, Tina Sawyer walked over and said to her, "Vivian, there's a woman looking for you downstairs."
Vivian Sinclair kept flipping through the materials in her hand without looking up, casually asking, "Who is it? Did she give her name?"
Tina shook her head, her tone plain as she said, "She didn't say her name, but she's pretty well-dressed."
After hearing that, Vivian's heart twitched ever so slightly, and a figure immediately surfaced in her mind.
"I still have things to finish up here. I won't go down. Help me let her know, would you?"
Tina simply replied, "Okay."
She didn't press, nor did she say anything more.
After all, this was someone else's family affair.
Knowing too much would only bring trouble, and might even drag you into the fire.
