Gu Yanshen lowered his head.
"Hug." Gu An said succinctly.
Gu Yanshen bent over and scooped up his son.
Gu An pointed to the remnants of the machine that had exploded.
"Over there."
Although Gu Yanshen didn't know what his son wanted to do, he trusted the little guy.
He stepped over the caution tape with large strides, holding Gu An as they stood in front of that pile of twisted scrap metal.
Director Wang laughed.
He wiped the cold sweat off his forehead, as if he had heard the biggest joke of his life.
"Lin Wan Yi, Mr. Gu, what are you doing?"
"Bringing out a little kid to take the fall?"
"Letting a toddler in open-crotch pants do a technical assessment?"
"It's utterly ridiculous!"
The surrounding technicians looked at each other, feeling that this was too absurd.
The German experts shrugged their shoulders and said in broken Chinese, "This is not scientific, this is nonsense."
Lin Wan Yi ignored the noise.
She just quietly watched her son.
