Chapter 207 - Chapter 207: The Gilded Cage and the Butterfly’s Sting

The "Nameless" Dressrosa pierced through the final layer of clouds, hovering directly above the Holy Land of Mary Geoise. Below them, the Red Line stretched out like a scar across the world, and atop it sat the glittering, ivory towers of the Celestial Dragons. To the inhabitants of the Holy Land, it looked as if a second moon had suddenly appeared—an island of obsidian and spirit-light casting a shadow over the "Gods" of the world.

"So, this is the center of the world," Tenjirō Kirinji remarked, leaning on his paddle. "It smells like perfume and rot. Definitely needs a deep soak."

"Ichibei, keep the island anchored," Auguro commanded, his eyes fixed on the Pangea Castle. "Urahara, Law—stay with the main force. I want the perimeter secured. I'm going down."

"Wait, Boss," Urahara interjected, tossing a small, marble-sized object to Auguro. "A little gift. It's a spirit-frequency jammer. If they try to use any more 'Ancient' transmissions, this will turn their signals into static."

Auguro caught the device, nodded, and stepped off the edge of the floating island. He didn't fall; he descended in a slow, controlled glide, his black cloak billowing like the wings of a predatory bird.

While Auguro descended, the infiltration team was already engaged. In the meticulously manicured gardens of the Pangaea Castle, the air was screaming with the sound of clashing steel.

Saint Garling Figarland, the former champion of God Valley, was a whirlwind of golden light. His saber, a masterwork blade infused with the highest level of Busoshoku Haki, moved with a grace that belied his age.

"You move well for a ghost," Garling sneered, parrying a lightning-fast thrust from Soi Fon's Suzumebachi. "But this is the land of the Gods. Your 'Shunpo' is nothing more than a parlor trick here."

Soi Fon flipped backward, landing silently on a rose petal without bruising it. Her face was a mask of cold fury. "You talk too much, old man. In the Onmitsukidō, we don't care about your titles. We only care about the kill."

She vanished again. Not just speed—it was Onmitsu Shunpo. Garling swung his saber in a 360-degree arc, creating a shockwave that leveled the surrounding trees, but Soi Fon appeared directly above him.

"Sting all enemies to death... Suzumebachi!"

The gold gauntlet on her middle finger glowed. She lunged, her movements blurring into a singular point of pressure. Garling moved to block, but Soi Fon didn't aim for his heart. She aimed for his shoulder.

Clink.

A small, black butterfly-shaped mark—the Hōmomeka (Hornet's Crest)—appeared on Garling's golden armor, burning through the metal and etching itself into his skin.

Garling laughed. "A scratch? Is that the best the Spirit King's assassin can do?"

"You should check the manual," Soi Fon whispered, her eyes flashing. "The first sting is a warning. The second is a funeral."

Garling lunged forward, his Haki erupting in a golden lion-shaped aura. "God's Punishment: Lion's Roar!"

The strike was devastating, vaporizing the ground where Soi Fon stood. But she was already behind him. She moved with a technique she had perfected under Yoruichi's tutelage—Utsusemi. She had left behind a "clothing-shell" that Garling had destroyed, while she moved into his blind spot.

"Second strike."

She drove the needle-like blade exactly into the center of the black butterfly mark.

"Nigeki Kessatsu! (Death in Two Steps!)"

The mark didn't bleed. Instead, it erupted into a massive, glowing crest that expanded across Garling's entire chest. His eyes widened. The "God" of the Holy Knights felt his internal organs liquefying, his very soul being unraveled by the poison of the crest.

"Impossible..." Garling gasped, his saber falling from his hand. "My Haki... should have... protected..."

"Haki protects the body," Soi Fon said, standing over him as he collapsed. "But Suzumebachi kills the name of the existence. You are no longer a Knight. You are a corpse."

As Garling fell, the gates of the Pangea Castle were blown inward. Not by an explosion, but by a sheer wave of spiritual pressure.

Sith Auguro landed in the courtyard, his boots clicking on the white marble. Standing in his way were the remaining Holy Knights and hundreds of Cipher Pol 0 agents, their white masks gleaming in the sun.

"Step aside," Auguro said. He didn't draw his sword. He simply walked forward.

The CP0 agents attacked simultaneously. Six-Powers (Rokushiki) masters moved with the speed of Soru and the strength of Rokuogan. But as they drew near, they hit an invisible wall. The air around Auguro was so dense with Reiatsu that their physical bodies began to crack.

"Hadō #63: Sōren Sōtsui."

Auguro raised two fingers. A twin burst of blue spiritual fire erupted, incinerating the front line of agents instantly. He didn't stop walking.

"Bakudō #61: Rikujōkōrō."

Six rods of yellow light slammed into the surrounding Holy Knights, pinning them to the spatial fabric. They struggled, their Haki flaring, but the Kidō was reinforced by Auguro's "Origin" power—it was unbreakable by physical force alone.

He reached the "Empty Throne" room. The massive chamber was silent, the high ceilings lost in shadow. And there, sitting upon the throne that was supposed to have no king, was a figure draped in long, flowing black robes. Two large, hawk-like eyes stared out from the darkness.

Imu.

"The trespasser has arrived," Imu's voice was melodic yet distorted, echoing as if multiple people were speaking at once. "The one who mimics a god. You have brought the cycle of death to the land of eternal life."

"Eternal life is a lie told by those afraid to fade," Auguro replied, finally unsheathing The Origin. The blade hummed, sensing the presence of a being that had lived for eight centuries through the stolen life-force of the world. "I am the correction, Imu. Your 'National Treasure' is nothing more than a battery of stolen souls. Today, I'm cutting the power."

[System Notification!] [Encounter: The King of the World — Imu.] [Detection: Imu is utilizing the 'Eternal Youth' surgery and the power of the 'Phantom Void'—a corrupted ancient energy.]

Auguro's heart hammered against his ribs. Imu was a monster of pure Haki and ancient science, but they lacked the spiritual refinement of a Shinigami. This was a battle between the ultimate physical power of the One Piece world and the ultimate spiritual power of the Bleach world.

[New Quest: Silence the Empty Throne.] [Reward: 20,000,000 Achievement Points, Evolution of 'The Origin' to 'True King Blade'.]

"You want my world?" Imu stood up. The room began to warp. The floor turned into a dark, liquid void, and massive, shadowy tendrils emerged from Imu's back, tipped with red eyes. These were the manifestations of Imu's overwhelming Haki combined with an unknown Devil Fruit. "I have consumed the history of this world. I have erased centuries. You are but a flickering candle in my abyss."

"Then let's see," Auguro pointed his blade at the throne. "If your abyss can survive the sun. Bankai... Zanka no Tachi!"

The humidity in the Holy Land vanished instantly. The water in the fountains evaporated. The very clouds above Mary Geoise turned to steam. Auguro's blade didn't catch fire; it became a scorched, blackened piece of iron that radiated a heat of 15 million degrees.

"Everything in this world has a name, Imu," Auguro said, his voice overlapping with the echoes of the system's power. "And today, I name you... Extinguished."
