The air over Dressrosa had changed. The festive scent of sunflowers and the lingering ozone from Doflamingo's defeat were replaced by a dry, scorching heat that radiated from the center of the Royal Plaza.
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto stood like an immovable mountain. His presence was so overwhelming that the "Shakuhō Barrier" Auguro had just established pulsed with a golden hue, struggling to contain the sheer density of the Old Man's Reiatsu.
"So this is the 'Strongest Fire' of the Soul Society," Nico Robin whispered, shielding her eyes from the invisible heat waves. She could feel the "Hachigyō" beads at her waist vibrating in fear. "It feels as if the sun itself has descended to the earth."
Auguro looked at his status screen.
"Current Empire Power Level: EX (World-Ending Potential)."
"Warning: The presence of Captain-Commander Yamamoto has triggered a 'Planetary Threat' alert within the World Government's surveillance network."
"Commander," Auguro said, addressing the elderly warrior. "The forces of this world are converging. They fear what they do not understand, and they despise any power they cannot control."
Yamamoto's eyes remained closed, but his voice was a low rumble of thunder. "It has always been thus. Whether in the Seireitei or this sea of blue, those who cling to status will always seek to extinguish the flame of change. Tell me, Soul King... do you wish for me to wait, or shall I reduce their approaching fleets to ash now?"
"Wait," Auguro commanded. "If we burn them all now, the world will only see us as monsters. I want them to see our strength, but I also want them to see the alternative we offer. However... we have guests who don't rely on ships."
As if on cue, the space behind the palace suddenly rippled. It wasn't a Senkaimon, nor was it a Devil Fruit power Auguro recognized immediately. It was a flutter of red crow feathers.
The Palace Gardens
A group of figures materialized near the fountain. At the lead was a young man with a top hat and a pipe strapped to his back, his face scarred but his eyes bright with conviction. Beside him was a tall, revolutionary-looking woman with goggles and a short skirt (Koala), and a giant of a man with a massive crown of hair (Morley).
Sabo, the Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army, stepped forward. He looked at the shattered remains of the Royal Plateau and then at the shimmering barrier above.
"I knew you were making waves, Auguro, but this?" Sabo whistled, looking up at the golden dome. "You've done in a week what the Revolution has been trying to do for a decade. Dressrosa is finally free of the Joker."
Auguro walked out to meet them, with Byakuya Kuchiki trailing a few steps behind as a silent, intimidating shadow.
"Sabo," Auguro greeted. "I assume Dragon didn't send you here just to congratulate me on a successful siege."
Sabo's expression turned serious. "Dragon wants to know your endgame. Taking Fish-Man Island was a strategic move, but taking Dressrosa... you've effectively declared war on the world's supply chain. The Revolutionary Army is preparing for the Reverie, but your actions have forced the World Government to move their timeline up. They aren't just sending Marines anymore."
"I know," Auguro said. "Fujitora warned me of 'God's Breath.' And my system tells me the Seraphim are being deployed."
"It's worse than that," Koala added, stepping forward. "Our scouts in the New World have confirmed it. Big Mom and Kaido have formed an alliance. They're calling it the 'New Rocks.' Their combined fleet is currently bypassing the standard routes. They'll be here in forty-eight hours. If you're caught between the Marines and two Yonko..."
"I won't be caught," Auguro interrupted. He turned back toward the palace, where the heat was still rising. "Byakuya, show our 'allies' what we've recruited."
Byakuya gestured toward the plaza. Sabo and his team walked around the corner and stopped dead in their tracks.
Yamamoto didn't move, but as Sabo approached, the flame-scarred youth felt his own Mera Mera no Mi (Flame-Flame Fruit) powers react violently. The fire within Sabo seemed to bow in the presence of the old man.
"What... what is he?" Sabo gasped, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead. "My fruit... it's terrified."
"He is the beginning and the end of all flames," Auguro said. "And he is just one of my Captains."
The New World – The Marine Blockade
Thirty miles off the coast of Dressrosa, the ocean was covered in a forest of masts. Over two hundred Marine warships, led by five massive "Super-Battleships," formed a crescent moon around the island.
On the deck of the Great Justice, Fleet Admiral Sakazuki stood with his arms crossed. Beside him were Admiral Kizaru and the newly arrived Admiral Ryokugyu (Aramaki).
But even more terrifying were the seven large boxes lined up on the deck. Each box was marked with the seal of the SSG (Special Science Group).
"Are the Seraphim ready?" Sakazuki barked.
"Indeed, they are~," Kizaru drawled, pointing to the boxes. "S-Hawk, S-Snake, S-Bear... and the new one. The one modeled after the brat himself."
Sakazuki looked at the seventh box. Inside was a bio-engineered construct using the DNA of the Lunarians and the combat data the Marines had gathered on Sith Auguro during the Summit War.
"We don't wait for the Yonko," Sakazuki ordered. "The World Government cannot afford to let the 'Soul King' hold Dressrosa for another day. Launch the Seraphim. Level the island. If the civilians die, they die as martyrs for the absolute peace of the world."
"Wait!" a voice cried out.
A Marine Den Den Mushi began to scream. "Fleet Admiral! Huge signatures detected on the port side! It's... it's the Queen Mama Chanter! And the Onigashima Sky-Fortress!"
Sakazuki looked to the left. Emerging from a massive fog bank was the terrifying fleet of the Big Mom Pirates. And above them, a dark cloud crackled with lightning as the flying island of Onigashima descended.
"Fufufu... look at all the little ants," Big Mom's voice boomed across the waves, amplified by her soul-infused homies. "Sakazuki! You stay out of my way! That brat belongs to me!"
From the top of Onigashima, a blue dragon—Kaido—let out a roar that split the sea. "Brat! Come out and face your execution!"
Dressrosa – The Throne Room
The ground shook as the three-way war arrived at the doorstep. Auguro felt the notifications flooding his mind.
"Warning! Three-Way Conflict Initiated!"
"Marine Fleet (200 Ships + 4 Seraphim) vs. Yonko Alliance (100 Ships + 2 Emperors) vs. Holy Spirit Empire!"
"Quest: The Divine Stand."
"Objective: Prevent any enemy from setting foot on the Royal Plateau for 24 hours."
"Reward: 10,000,000 Achievement Points + The Hōgyoku (Fragment)!"
Auguro stood up. His eyes glowed with a cold, divine light. He looked at Sabo, who was clutching his pipe, ready to fight.
"Sabo, if the Revolutionary Army wants to help, tell your people to protect the harbor. The civilians are being evacuated to the underground port."
He then looked at his Captains. Byakuya, Kenpachi, Soi Fon, Unohana, and Yamamoto.
"Kenpachi," Auguro said.
"Yeah?" The monster of a man was already vibrating with excitement.
"The blue dragon in the sky. He thinks he's the strongest creature in the world. Go prove him wrong."
Kenpachi's grin split his face. "With pleasure!"
"Byakuya, Soi Fon. Intercept the Seraphim. I want those machines dismantled and their Lunarian blood sampled for the System."
"Understood."
"And Commander..." Auguro looked at Yamamoto.
The old man finally opened both eyes. The heat in the room became unbearable.
"The Marine fleet," Auguro pointed to the horizon. "They believe in 'Absolute Justice.' Show them the 'Absolute Truth' of the sun."
Yamamoto stood up, his wooden staff cracking. "It shall be done."
Auguro stepped out onto the balcony, overlooking the sea. The horizon was a line of fire and steel.
"System," Auguro whispered. "Activate the Kido Cannon: Gaten Kyōko. Aim for the Fleet Admiral's flagship."
"Charging... 10%... 40%... 100%! Fire!"
A pillar of violet light, five meters wide, erupted from the peak of the Seireitei. It cut through the air with a shriek, bypassing the Yonko fleet and slamming directly into the Marine vanguard, vaporizing ten battleships in a single second.
The War of the Three Heavens had begun.
