The Eye speaks further. "Funny enough none of the Singularity managed to mature properly before getting killed."
Cresty's expression slowly changed. The words were delivered almost casually, yet there was something unsettling about them. None of them had managed to mature. Not one. It wasn't simply that Singularity Class users were rare or that their lives tended to be dangerous. According to The Eye, every single one had died before reaching whatever point of maturity the class was capable of achieving.
Cresty asked, "Getting killed? As in, they are destined to be killed?"
The Eye remained silent for a moment, his masked face pointed toward her. Then his voice came again, carrying the same thoughtful tone as before.
"None had died of old age so far, and whilst they beholden unusual power, they also beholden the wrath of Aether."
Cresty's eyes narrowed.
