Anthierin stepped up to the center of the barrier, her eyes locked onto his. "Take care, Lexel," she said softly, her voice carrying a rare, heavy earnestness. "And mind your equipment. Don't go breaking what I just fixed."
Lexel let out a soft, amused sigh, the silver gauntlets on his hands gleaming in the dim light of the foyer.
"Alright guys," Lexel called back through the shimmering field. "Stay safe out there."
He turned his back on the sunlight, facing the deep, echoing darkness of the southern spire. He tilted his head back, his S-tier vision piercing through the gloom to look all the way up at the massive, chunked-out midsection of the tower—the missing piece that defied standard geography.
