Charles Thorn's POV
I haven't been myself since after I discovered who Anita truly was. I have felt betrayed and taken as a fool.
I swirled the bottle of whiskey in my hands and took a huge gulp of it. I relished in the burning sensation as it went down my throat.
Anita has been trying so hard to reach me but I've blocked her everywhere. There was a knock on my door.
"Come in." I called out from inside and to my surprise it was Elena. She looked happy and was smiling.
"Hi, Dad. Aren't you happy to see me?"
"I am, El. How are you doing?"
She shrugged and sat on the sofa. Our relationship is still very fragile and we are both trying to find our way around it.
"How is Rosalyn doing?"
"How did you know that she was back? I thought that I would be the one that will tell you."
"Your husband informed me about it. I am happy that your best friend is okay."
