Renee Morgan took out the contract and saw Sharon Callahan's address on her household registration—it wasn't too far from Maridia City, just not sure if her parents still lived there.
Ethan Sterling pulled out his phone and said, "I'll have someone check."
Three minutes later, Ethan got a call back and nodded at Renee Morgan.
Over two hours later, they stopped in an old apartment district. They asked around, and learned Sharon Callahan lived in Nychta, in an old building on the fourth floor.
Mrs. Callahan heard knocking, opened the door to find two strangers, her face wary, but seeing Ethan didn't look like a bad guy, she finally let them in.
Mr. Callahan sat on a worn-out sofa, staring at them with a gloomy expression.
"Sharon said she didn't want to see you. She told us she'd figure things out herself—why are you coming to our door?" Mr. Callahan suddenly lashed out.
Renee Morgan and Ethan Sterling exchanged a look—they both saw the gravity in each other's eyes.
