"She initially thought I left my family for another woman, which made her hate me even more. For so many years, I've wanted to explain, but never found the right opportunity. Now I've reached a point where I must explain, so I don't regret coming back to find her."
Walter said cautiously, glancing at Stella, "At the same time, I feel I've let you both down. If I had been around back then..."
"Alright, let's not talk about this anymore."
Stella couldn't help but interrupt, "My brother and I grew up just fine. It's not like anything shameful happened, so you don't need to apologize to us."
"Okay."
Walter sighed, "It seems my Stella has grown up. She's becoming more like your mother, just as I imagined."
Stella pursed her lips, unsure how to respond, so she simply looked out the window, avoiding Walter's gaze.
Over the years, Walter wasn't around. Although she visited Walter's country when she studied abroad, and Walter specifically came to meet her.
