Eve Sherman wondered if it was because she was pregnant that she suddenly became empathetic towards mothers.
"Don't be sad."
Stellan Sutton patted her shoulder, "If you care about her, figure out a way to bring her back and honor her well. Everything will be fine."
Eve nodded, "Thank you. If you weren't here, I really wouldn't know what to do."
"I'm glad I could help you."
Stellan caressed her cheek, "It's me who hasn't taken good care of you. I'm always a bit negligent."
"Don't say that."
Eve sniffed, "Now that everything's been resolved, Grandpa isn't angry anymore... Oh, how did you manage to calm Grandpa down? I was so worried yesterday."
"... Grandpa calmed down on his own later, so it was alright."
"Really? I was so scared yesterday, afraid Grandpa would be like Grandma. Hearing you say this makes me feel better. But if we were to get divorced, would Grandpa get angry again?"
"He won't. Don't worry."
Stellan patted her shoulder and pulled her into his embrace.
