Eve Sherman brought over the wake-up soup and noticed he was lost in thought.
She wasn't oblivious. Having worked with him for so long, she could tell what his expressions meant.
He seemed a bit unhappy, but she didn't know the reason.
Could it be something unpleasant happened during dinner?
Or did he really dislike drinking the wake-up soup she made?
Eve Sherman placed the wake-up soup in front of him and took a sip with a spoon before he picked up his chopsticks.
"I think it's okay, not too bad. You don't need to make that face; it's not that unpleasant."
Stellan Sutton snapped back to reality and smiled helplessly, "You know I didn't mean it that way. I was just thinking about something earlier, sorry."
"No need to apologize to me."
Eve Sherman sighed, "If there's something bothering you, you can tell me. If you don't want to talk about it and prefer to be alone, I won't disturb you."
Eve Sherman looked intently at his face, speaking quite seriously.
