Eve walked in, and Stellan released her hand.
"Why didn't you eat when you went out to work?"
Stellan poured her a glass of warm water and asked helplessly.
"I just didn't have an appetite. Maybe I've gotten used to eating at the Sutton's, so I don't feel like having takeout."
Stellan's eyes flickered, and then he smiled, "Then have meals at home in the future. If you go to work, I'll have them deliver it to you."
"There's no need to trouble yourself. Maybe when I go back, I'll get used to it."
When Eve said this, Stellan's expression visibly darkened.
Eve realized she might have gone too far and smiled at Stellan, "What should I prepare for a meal? Have you eaten? Why did you come back so early? Is something wrong?"
"Mm."
Stellan looked at her quietly, "I just finished work at the company, wanted to take a break, and then deal with your father's affairs."
"Oh." Eve lowered her eyes, "It's really troubling you. You're so busy, and now you have to worry about this."
