Eve Sherman quickly stood up and asked worriedly, "What's wrong, Claire Lynn? Don't cry, don't cry. If you're out to have fun, you should be happy. Tell me if anything's bothering you."
She picked up a tissue to wipe Claire Lynn's tears, worried about waking Isabelle, and could only comfort her in a low voice.
"It's nothing, I just suddenly thought that before I got married, life was just like it is now. I was happy, made my own money, spent it as I liked, and sometimes went on vacations. But after marriage, I unknowingly turned into a time-starved, space-deprived, freedom-less child-rearing machine."
"What's scarier is that I didn't feel anything, I didn't think it was wrong. Subconsciously, I thought maybe this is how it should be. In this family, doing so much seems justified, and my thoughts have gradually been eroded..."
Claire Lynn spoke while crying, and Eve Sherman didn't know how to comfort her, so she silently helped wipe her tears.
