"Alright, don't be angry anymore."
Eve Sherman raised her hand and patted his shoulder, "It's not worth it to argue with someone like that."
"Will this incident affect your job?"
Wyatt Crawford asked worriedly.
"Not for now, because he doesn't have any evidence. It's just that him causing a scene at the company is quite troublesome."
"Oh."
Wyatt nodded, falling silent.
After finishing the meal with Eve Sherman, Wyatt took her to Claire Lynn's neighborhood as Eve suggested. Despite asking around, Eve Sherman found nothing.
Just as she was about to leave, she bumped into Claire Lynn, who was pushing a baby stroller out of one of the buildings.
Her face was swollen, with bruises under her eyes.
No need to ask what happened.
Beside her was a mean-looking middle-aged woman.
As Eve Sherman was about to approach, Claire Lynn noticed her and shook her head.
"Is she experiencing domestic abuse?"
Wyatt asked in a low voice from beside her.
