Eve finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, Stellan was pretty busy, answering call after call, barely having any time to face Eve; after twenty minutes, Wyatt Crawford appeared at the door of the hospital room, panting.
The moment he saw Eve, he rushed over, grabbing her hand and looking her up and down. Noticing her injury, his heart ached as he hugged her hand, "Babe, what happened to you? How did you end up this hurt!"
Eve made a shushing gesture at him, afraid he'd disturb Stellan's call.
Hearing the commotion, Stellan turned his head and saw this guy again, his brows tightening ever so slightly.
"Report any progress to me."
He hung up the phone, standing straight and tall, watching Wyatt from a distance.
This guy sure knows how to put on a show.
The concern in his eyes didn't seem fake.
Back then, when he was with his wife, he didn't seem to be faking his happiness, either.
Thinking of this, his frown deepened.
