Chapter 319 - MTC Chapter 319: Pola Beasts: I'm Fighting a Titan?

Dust and steam filled the edge of the impact crater.

The entire battlefield, whether the roaring beast horde or the blood-soaked warriors, fell into an eerie, deathly silence.

Clang... It sounded as if an extremely heavy object had stepped heavily onto the ground.

It was the sound of metal colliding with the earth.

Immediately after, a silhouette so massive it blotted out the sky slowly rose from the smoke and dust.

Standing over a hundred meters tall, it was filled with Gothic complexity and cold martial aesthetics. Every inch of its armor seemed to recount the blood and glory of thousands of wars.

The turbo-laser turrets on its wrists gleamed with a destructive light capable of vaporizing mountains. An aura of iron and blood, sacred and undeniable, swept across the battlefield like a storm.

An Emperor-class Titan.

On one side stood a squad of transcendent power-armored warriors, clad entirely in ocean blue and bearing the double-headed eagle insignia. They were as silent as mountains, their bolters and chainswords exuding a cold, murderous intent.

On the other side was a squad of Sisters of Battle wielding power swords. Their armor was engraved with holy runes, and their expressions were fervent and devout.

This force that appeared out of nowhere was filled with a sense of order forged in iron and blood, completely out of place in this wasteland world.

Bai Yuekui, who was currently whipping up a white tornado of death amidst the beast horde, abruptly stopped her spinning. Suspended in mid-air, she looked at this suddenly appearing colossal mech. Her sixth sense told her that this was related to Ian.

Marc, Ran Bing, and the others were completely frozen in place, forgetting to even swing their weapons. Everything before their eyes had completely overturned their entire understanding of this world.

'When did humanity possess such technology? The stronger the humans on the surface are, the more the Lighthouse looks like a clown.'

A soft golden tractor beam shot out precisely from the cockpit in the Titan's head, piercing through the chaotic battlefield to envelop the dancing girl at the top of the watchtower.

Xia Dou didn't panic in the slightest. Instead, she opened her arms wide and let out an excited scream.

"Awoo—! It's here, it's here! My exclusive ride!"

Under everyone's disbelieving gazes, she was slowly drawn into the Titan's head by the beam.

Countless holographic screens and dazzlingly complex instruments lit up before Xia Dou's eyes.

The moment her mind connected with this god of war through the helmet, an unprecedented, majestic sense of power—like holding the stars and dictating life and death—surged through her entire body.

Looking at the main screen, the densely packed Pola Beasts below were no longer an apocalyptic threat in her eyes, but rather experience points waiting to be harvested.

"Awesome! This is too awesome!"

She gripped the two massive metal control sticks and let out another excited wolf howl.

Using all her strength, she roared the line she had practiced countless times in the virtual world.

"Xenos! It is time for purification!"

"For the Emperor! For humanity!"

Vrrrm—!!!

The chainsword on the Titan's arm, as massive as a skyscraper, let out a deafening roar, every rotation of its blade tearing through the air.

Like a child with a new toy, Xia Dou viciously pushed the control sticks forward.

The Titan merely executed the simplest of horizontal sweeps.

That giant sword effortlessly cleaved through hundreds of Pola Beasts in its path, along with the earth beneath their feet, carving out a massive, bottomless trench.

"Hahahaha! Woohoo!"

Her crisp laughter echoed across the entire battlefield through the wide-area loudspeakers.

She pushed another lever.

Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat—!

The Vulcan cannons at its elbows spewed a destructive storm of metal, each shell thicker than a water vat.

That frenzied net of firepower instantly plowed a large section of the beast horde into a bloody, mangled pulp.

At the same time, the ground forces sprang into action.

The Astartes Chapter formed the most precise and ruthless firing line.

With every roar of their bolters, an elite Pola Beast—the kind Lighthouse Hunters would have to sacrifice their lives to defeat—was blown into a cloud of flying blood mist.

Their shooting lacked a single wasted movement, their efficiency terrifyingly high.

Meanwhile, the Sisters of Battle fought in a much more bizarre manner.

Chanting sacred war hymns incomprehensible to mortals, they emitted an invisible psychic force field.

All Pola Beasts that approached the range of their force field found their movements becoming sluggish and stagnant, as if drowning, while the violent life energy within their bodies was rapidly siphoned away.

For the first time, an emotion called "fear" surfaced in their crimson eyes. They even began to retreat in panic, completely afraid to approach that sacred domain.

Marc and Ran Bing also rejoined the battle, but they quickly stopped.

Because they realized that this apocalyptic disaster, which originally would have been enough to destroy Dragon Bone Village ten times over, had turned into a one-sided, suspense-free... slaughter in the face of these heaven-descended troops.

"Roar!"

A Monarch-class Pola Beast that had forcefully endured the Titan's artillery fire used its tenacious vitality to launch a charge from the flank, attempting to ambush the steel giant that was frantically pouring out firepower.

However, its movements had long been locked onto by a Sister Superior wielding a power mace.

The Sister Superior raised her head, her eyes icy cold.

She raised the mace in her hand and softly chanted in ancient Gothic, "O Emperor, please guide your faithful to purge the heretics!"

The invisible force field radiating from her body abruptly intensified, condensing into a gleaming golden blade that viciously pierced into the Monarch-class Pola Beast's body.

"Howl—!"

The Monarch-class Pola Beast let out an incredibly mournful wail. On the surface of its massive body, the tough biological tissue began to decay and peel off at a visible rate, its powerful life force rapidly withering away like floodwaters bursting from a dam.

Inside the cockpit, Xia Dou noticed this scene through the "Friendly Fire" prompt in the corner of her screen.

She immediately let out a strange cry.

"Hey! Don't steal my kill!"

She yanked the control sticks hard, and the Titan jumped straight up on the spot.

Its massive metal feet, carrying tens of thousands of tons of gravity, stomped down viciously.

Boom!!!

That severely weakened Monarch-class Pola Beast, along with the earth beneath its feet, was stomped into a steaming pit of minced meat.

The tide of the battlefield was completely reversed in just a few short minutes.

The scales of victory had thoroughly tipped in favor of humanity.
