Chapter 452 - Invitation

The next day, after drinking, Kaido prepared to leave.

This guy really seemed to have come just to drink, and Ian also courteously came to see him off.

"Worororo, this place of yours is much more interesting than mine."

Kaido looked at Ian and laughed boldly. "Such a huge continent, and those idiots from the World Government still haven't discovered it?"

"They may have already discovered it."

Hearing Kaido's words, Ian smiled and shook his head. "I don't know whether those guys have discovered it or not."

Logically speaking, although after that battle, those hyenas from the World Government no longer dared to approach this place, with Doflamingo's personality, it would be impossible for him to ignore this place.

And then there was Sengoku's side… so the World Government might have known about it long ago.

However, being this quiet really did exceed his expectations, and then there was the previous Pure Gold incident… yet the World Government still hadn't made any response at all?

Who knows what they were doing?

"They may have already discovered it!"

Kaido grinned, his face full of ridicule and disdain. "Could it be that those lofty fellows have already been scared stupid by you? They haven't made the slightest move?"

As he spoke, he turned his head and looked at Ian again. "Forget it, enough about that. I didn't expect that you already have three children. What a pity, my son is a bit too old. Otherwise, maybe he could marry your son!"

Ian: "…"

That statement… if someone didn't know better, they might think Kaido's son had some special hobby, and that Kaido was also a very open-minded father.

Of course, even if his son were the same age as Kaido's daughter, he would never let his child marry Kaido's children.

It wasn't because he disliked Kaido, but because Kaido's daughter… had a slightly abnormal brain.

Just because she read Oden's diary, she began worshipping him and even wanted to become him. For that reason, she even betrayed her own father and ran off to take care of that man's son!

On the sea, fathers as normal as Kaido were already very rare.

So could that be considered normal?

To be honest, Ian was quite curious about what exactly was written in Oden's diary.

It could so easily change a person's will. Even if it contained the secret of Laugh Tale, it shouldn't go that far!

But no matter what, something that could make an enemy's daughter willingly betray her own father just to become another person must definitely contain something extraordinary.

Otherwise, that diary couldn't possibly just record Oden's days selling hooks together with Whitebeard and Roger, right?

After thinking for a moment, Ian looked at Kaido in front of him.

"After a while, the Straw Hat Pirates should pass through Wano."

Momonosuke was already dead.

Without Momonosuke's guidance, he didn't know whether the Straw Hat Pirates would still go to Wano.

"The Straw Hat Pirates? Those guys? I know them. Rocks' son is also on that ship."

Hearing Ian's words, Kaido once again let out his unique, bold laughter. "Looks like you value those brats quite a bit! Since that's the case, I'll give you some face. When they arrive in Wano, I'll have my subordinates pay attention and not beat those brats to death."

Ian: "…"

No, I'm worried that you'll be beaten to death!

Ian's mouth twitched, but he still sighed and said to Kaido, "You should be the one who pays attention."

Kaido: "...?"

"Nothing."

Facing Kaido's confused expression, Ian didn't explain anything. He couldn't exactly tell him… that he might be beaten to death by a group of brats, could he?

"If we can meet again next time, let's drink together again."

"Worororo, then it's settled. If I have time, I'll come find you to drink again."

After laughing loudly, Kaido no longer hesitated. He directly transformed into a dragon and soared into the sky, but he did not immediately fly away. As if remembering something, he lowered his enormous dragon head again, and his tone became serious.

"Oh, right, I went to see Whitebeard. It seems he doesn't have much time left to live. If you want to enter the New World, the territory of the Whitebeard Pirates could serve as your springboard. That group of sons of his can't guard such a large territory!"

After saying that, without waiting for Ian to say anything, he directly grabbed the clouds and flew into the sky, leaving Ian with a helpless expression.

"Who wants to enter the New World?"

Ian shook his head. But looking at Kaido's dragon body getting farther and farther away, he still couldn't help sighing.

He understood what Kaido meant. Dividing territory was one thing, but more importantly… Once Whitebeard died, the structure of the New World would inevitably change. This was an invitation for him to come and take a share when the time came.

Unfortunately, he wasn't interested in Whitebeard's messy territories at all. And as for Whitebeard dying… he had already known about it long ago.

Ian shook his head and didn't bother with it anymore. With his hands behind his back, he walked toward home. It seemed that ever since he married and had children, and as the children gradually grew up, his interest in competing for dominance over the sea had also become increasingly faint.

To be honest, if the World Government and Marine Headquarters hadn't kept provoking him later on, he probably wouldn't have even planned to take action against them.

After returning home, he looked at Robin, whose belly was slightly swollen as she quietly read a book.

A sense of peace rose in his heart. Then he glanced around.

"Where are Ain and the kids?"

"They went out to play. Aria went with them as well."

Robin closed the book. Her increasingly gentle face carried a slight smile.

"That child stays at home reading all the time, so I let her go out for a walk."

As she spoke, as if remembering something, she picked up a letter from the table and handed it to Ian.

"Oh, right, Enel just delivered a letter earlier. He said someone asked him to give it to you."

"A letter?"

Hearing Robin's words, Ian was surprised. He didn't expect someone to actually write him a letter. "Who is it from?"

"It seems to be an invitation."

"An invitation?"

The confusion on Ian's face deepened, but he still took the envelope and opened it directly. After glancing at it, a strange expression immediately appeared on his face.
