Su Yan and his group stood there in a state of shock. The girls, especially Ning Rongrong, found the whole situation unbelievable. They were thinking the same thing: do you even know why we came here today? We actually came here to beat you up! Yet, here you are, acting like a big shot and trying to provoke us first. You really have some nerve!
In the group chat, Wang Dong sent a message saying he finally understood what was happening. Red Dust Dream Dream Dream joined in, noting that Yu Xiaogang's behavior and words were exactly what Su Yan had described before.
Ma Xiaotao laughed and asked Ye Lingling to make sure she captured Su Yan's face on the camera because his expression was just too funny. Bo Saixi added that Su Yan probably never expected Yu Xiaogang's very first words would be an attempt to chase him away. Dark Avenger just sent a long string of laughing characters.
Liu Erlong felt extremely frustrated while watching the screen. She sent a message saying she was truly fed up with him. Seeing Yu Xiaogang act like this made her realize he was acting like a total idiot. He had no strength at all, yet he kept putting on an act. She wondered how she ever thought he was impressive in the past and even asked Bibi Dong if she could explain it.
In Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong was also feeling very angry. She thought the whole thing was ridiculous. She was just like Liu Erlong; she used to believe that Yu Xiaogang's constant confidence meant he was someone special. Now, he just looked like a fool to her.
Hu Liena gave a wry smile and asked her teacher if he had always been this brave. Bibi Dong didn't answer and just thought about how she and Erlong were like good girls who had been tricked by a bad boy with dyed hair.
Zhang Lexuan wondered why Yu Xiaogang tried to kick Su Yan out when Su Yan hadn't even started any trouble yet. I Am a Little Bird explained that since Yu Xiaogang came to Shrek Academy to be a teacher, he was trying to use Su Yan to show everyone how powerful and strict he was.
Number Nine added that he also wanted to have the upper hand over Su Yan from the very beginning. The Empress was outraged, saying he made her lose face. she told Su Yan to hurry up and take his gifts back.
Bai Chenxiang was still confused about why Su Yan even brought gifts in the first place. Zhu Zhuqing explained that the gifts for Zhao Wuji were to thank the academy for taking care of them. Their real plan for the day was actually to withdraw from the academy anyway. Ma Xiaotao laughed again, saying it was perfect since Yu Xiaogang was expelling him. They could have saved money on the gifts if they had known.
Suddenly, Su Yan burst out laughing. It was the kind of laugh people have when they are so speechless that they don't know what else to do. He looked at Flender, Zhao Wuji, and the other students. Finally, his gaze fixed on Yu Xiaogang.
Everyone was curious about what he would do next. Without warning, Su Yan jumped up and slapped Yu Xiaogang right across the face. The slap was so hard that it left five bright red finger marks instantly.
Yu Xiaogang was completely dazed and couldn't think. Flender got very anxious and asked Su Yan what he was doing. Su Yan put on a very serious face and shouted back, asking who Yu Xiaogang thought he was.
He pointed out that this was Shrek Academy, not Nuoding Academy. He argued that since the Dean and Zhao Wuji hadn't spoken yet, Yu Xiaogang was out of line for trying to take control. He even asked Teacher Zhao if there was anything wrong with the slap.
Zhao Wuji scratched his head, trying hard not to laugh out loud. He thought to himself that Su Yan was truly full of clever, bad ideas. He had just slapped a man and made it sound like he was doing the right thing.
He told Su Yan that there was nothing wrong with it. Su Yan then turned to Dai Mubai and the others. He asked them if it was wrong to teach someone a lesson who tried to expel him without any authority.
Dai Mubai and the students were stunned. When Su Yan put it that way, they couldn't really find a reason to blame him. Su Yan didn't know who this guy was, and the man had just tried to kick him out. Flender didn't know what to say and just stayed quiet.
Ning Rongrong and the girls were trying to hide their smiles. They realized that if Yu Xiaogang didn't introduce himself as a teacher, he was nobody. If he was nobody, he had no right to drive Su Yan away.
In the chat, I Am an Orphan commented that Su Yan was the only one who could pull this off. Dark Avenger called Su Yan wicked for being so logical after hitting someone. Xiao Xiao thought it was very cool. Ma Xiaotao asked the group not to beat up her ancestor, Ma Hongjun, today. However, Bai Chenxiang told them to beat him hard. Ning Rongrong replied that since the ancestor requested it, they had to do it.
Yu Xiaogang was now shaking with rage. He stammered and called Su Yan a lawless student with no respect for teachers. He said talent didn't matter if he acted like that. Yu Xiaogang had actually been planning to act tough first so he could later act kind and trick Su Yan into giving up his spirit awakening secret. He never expected Su Yan would just hit him.
Before Flender could step in, Su Yan backhanded Yu Xiaogang across the face again. He shouted that Yu Xiaogang was never his teacher and wasn't one now. He asked how a mere Spirit Grandmaster dared to point a finger at him.
He reminded everyone that a powerful person must not be insulted by someone weaker. Everyone was stunned, but they realized he was right. In their world, strength was the most important thing.
It was hard to find fault with Su Yan's logic. A level twenty-nine Spirit Grandmaster shouldn't be acting that way toward a genius. Dai Mubai gave Ma Hongjun a look that said he now knew how scary Su Yan could be. Ma Hongjun shrank back, terrified. He noticed that Yu Xiaogang didn't even have the right to complain about the pain.
Flender finally spoke up, worried that Su Yan would hit his friend a third time. He explained that Yu Xiaogang was his best friend and a new teacher at the academy. Tang San also stepped forward, looking angry. He told Su Yan that even if Yu Xiaogang wasn't his teacher, he should still show some respect.
Su Yan looked at Tang San like he was crazy. He asked why he should respect a random person who didn't like him just because Tang San said so. He joked that if Tang San wanted to be a servant and wait on people, he should go to a palace instead of practicing cultivation. Ning Rongrong couldn't hold it in anymore and started laughing. Su Yan told her to stop because he was trying to be serious.
Su Yan cleared his throat and looked back at Yu Xiaogang. He told the man that he should have said he was a teacher sooner. He teased him by saying that if he knew even a Spirit Grandmaster could get a job at Shrek Academy just for free food, he wouldn't have worked so hard to reach rank thirty. He claimed it was unfair that he had to work while Yu Xiaogang just got a free ride. Everyone just stared at him, not knowing what to say.
