Chapter 589 - Chapter 327: Testing the Secret Medicine

"Back so soon?"

Nara Shikamaru saw Uzumaki Naruto suddenly appear at his seat and couldn't help asking; he thought Naruto would be gone for a few hours.

"Yeah, just talked about a few things and came back. Shikamaru, the old man at Mount Myoboku... that is, the Great Toad Sage, has made another prophecy. It might be something serious."

Uzumaki Naruto said to Nara Shikamaru with a somewhat solemn expression. Hearing this, Shikamaru was momentarily stunned, then asked, "The Great Toad Sage... the one who prophesied about Kaguya?"

"That's right, it's him. His predictions are quite accurate."

Uzumaki Naruto nodded and continued, "This time, the Great Toad Sage prophesied about an extremely powerful enemy, possibly even stronger than Kaguya... In his prophecy, even Mount Myoboku was destroyed."

"That bad... What's going on exactly?"

"I'm not completely certain about the situation. The Great Toad Sage's prophecy can't be too detailed, but I managed to get some information about the enemy's features. It's something like this."

After finishing, Uzumaki Naruto took out a piece of paper from his pocket, with a drawing of the enemy done by Fukasaku Sage; long-tail dorsal fin, Sage Feather Robe, crystalline armor on the body, and Truth-Seeking Orbs behind...

Apart from the absence of facial features, the other characteristics were very clear. This was the handiwork of Fukasaku Sage.

Originally, Uzumaki Naruto was supposed to draw it, but his drawing skills were so poor that he turned the figure into a lizard, and Fukasaku Sage ended up having to draw it.

"These traits... They kind of resemble Otsutsuki Kaguya, Naruto, has there been any news from Sasuke?"

Nara Shikamaru had never seen Otsutsuki Kaguya, but he'd received information from Naruto, and also remembered that when Obito became the Ten-tailed Jinchuriki, he had Truth-Seeking Orbs behind him, so Shikamaru recognized it right away.

"No news from Sasuke... When he sends a message back next time, I'll inform him about this matter and ask him to be cautious as well."

Uzumaki Naruto sighed. It hadn't been long since the peaceful days, yet now another enemy was rising. Seems Sasuke's worries back then were indeed justified.

If it's someone who can make Kaguya fearful and also appears in the Great Toad Sage's prophecy to destroy Mount Myoboku, this enemy is definitely extraordinary.

"Where's Sakura?"

"She should still be out buying secret medicine. Don't worry, Sakura is Tsunade-sama's disciple. Tricking her would be no easy feat."

"Hahaha, you're right about that."

They joked a bit, and then Uzumaki Naruto and Nara Shikamaru resumed handling village affairs.

On the other side

Upon receiving the funds from the village, Sakura left the Hokage Building, preparing to purchase some secret medicine. However, the village only gave her two million ryō, which seemed like it could only buy two or three items.

"Sakura!"

A voice suddenly called from behind. Before Sakura had time to turn around, she felt someone come up and hug her arm; that familiar voice and feeling instantly let Sakura guess who it was.

"Weren't you supposed to be at Konoha Hospital today, Sakura? Heading home?"

Sakura shook her head, gesturing with the envelope in her hand, saying, "I'm going to buy some secret medicine from the pharmacy I visited yesterday. If its effects are as good as the owner claims, the village might end up purchasing some for backup."

Yamanaka Ino was surprised and said, "Eh, making such a decision so quickly? That pharmacy's secret medicines are really expensive. Does the village have that kind of money?"

Moreover, Yamanaka Ino recalled that the best secret medicines there couldn't be bought with money alone; one needed equally precious items to exchange.

Sakura forced a smile and said, "Let's check it out first. The effects might not be as impressive as stated, and we've got to test them after buying."

"True, maybe we can bargain a bit. This guy's prices are too steep; get him over when testing to prevent him from running off."

Yamanaka Ino's impression of the pharmacy was twofold: the secret medicines are exorbitant, and the owner is attractive but unapologetically blunt.

The two charming women then arrived at Yoichi Pharmacy. As Sakura and Yamanaka Ino entered, they saw Uchiha Yoichi shaking his head and dismissing someone, who left dejectedly with a box.

Once the customer left, Yamanaka Ino stepped forward, naturally saying, "Business already on the third day, looks like things are going well."

Who wouldn't enjoy talking to someone attractive? Even looking at them was somewhat pleasing.

Uchiha Yoichi shook his head, saying, "You're actually my first customers. The guy just now was a swindler, trying to sell worthless medicinal materials at a high price... Anyway, let's not talk about him. What can I help you two with today?"

Sakura shook her head and said, "We're not here to sell this time, owner. We've come to buy some secret medicine."

"Oh, welcome. Here's the list. If you see anything you like, just let me know, and I'll fetch it for you."

Uchiha Yoichi nodded, then took out the list of elixirs for sale, placing it on the counter and pushing it towards Sakura and Yamanaka Ino.

Sakura opened it and started looking, soon feeling a bit troubled.

With two million ryō, there really wasn't much they could buy unless they opted for the lowest-level secret medicines, which would allow them to get four or five kinds.

Even though Yamanaka Ino had seen the list once, she was still shocked by the prices and couldn't help saying, "Owner, can't you lower the prices a bit? They're too high."

Uchiha Yoichi casually said, "There are cheaper ones, with discounts from ten to ninety percent off, but correspondingly, the efficacy is also discounted. If you want, you can pay a deposit and wait for them to be made."
