Thinking of this, Namikaze Minato took a few bites and then put down the bowl and chopsticks.
Kushina noticed Namikaze Minato's actions and was about to ask him what's wrong, but then she noticed the Reanimation Body's cracks on Minato's body, and she swallowed the words back.
Now Kushina was incredibly conflicted, she had just made a decision, but suddenly Minato was back.
Now she could ask Uchiha Yoichi to fulfill the previous agreement to bring Minato back to life... but what about the child in her womb? Should she hide it from Minato and terminate it?
Kushina's mind was in such turmoil that she didn't know what to do, and by the time Naruto finished his meal, she hadn't eaten much of hers.
"Kushina?"
Namikaze Minato called out, pulling Kushina back to her senses. Seeing the food on the table, she quickly got up and said, "I'll clean this up."
"I'll help you, Kushina."
The two of them quickly cleaned up the dishes, and then Kushina said to Namikaze Minato, "Minato, why don't you go upstairs and rest for a bit?"
"Okay, Kushina, but I probably won't be able to stay long. I still have to deliver some intel to the First and Second Hokage. It seems they've been revived...."
After Namikaze Minato said this, he looked at Naruto. He only had two or three hours before he had to set off, so he thought he might spend some time with Naruto before leaving.
Moreover, he noticed that Naruto seemed eager to talk to him but was too shy or had other reasons for not initiating the conversation.
"You have to go out later?"
"Yes, before I came back, I encountered an enemy targeting the Nine-tails. I happened to witness some of its clash with Uchiha Madara, so I need to inform the First and Second Hokage about this. I've heard the First Hokage has also been targeted by him...."
As they talked, the two of them walked upstairs.
They reached the master bedroom. There was nothing particularly special, except outside there was a balcony full of drying clothes and sheets.
Namikaze Minato looked around and noticed a lot of things missing in the room; even the photos on the cabinet beside the bed were gone. But then he remembered they had moved suddenly, and many things might still be at the previous house.
"Minato, after your accident, a lot happened in the village. Even I was...almost controlled by the Nine-tailed Chakra, but later the village acquired the Turtle Island from the Hidden Cloud Village. I spent some time training there, and... managed to shake off its influence."
As she finished speaking, Kushina's hand subconsciously rested on her lower abdomen. She was somewhat grateful in her heart, thankful that her belly wasn't too big yet, or Minato might have noticed something was off as soon as they met.
"Kushina, you've been through a lot..."
Namikaze Minato said, guilt-ridden, feeling that his death had caused considerable trouble for Kushina.
"By the way, Minato, what are... your plans after completing the mission? Will you..."
Kushina hesitated for a long time in her heart and finally asked the question.
"I'm not sure, maybe spend some time with Naruto, but ultimately I might have to return to the Pure Land.... By the way, Kushina, where is my body? If we don't retrieve it, people like Uchiha Madara can still use Reanimation on me."
Namikaze Minato expressed his thoughts and suddenly realized this issue, so he quickly asked.
Kushina shook her head and said, "Don't worry, Minato, the village has recovered your body; the people who killed you were all captured by the village. The mastermind was Uchiha Obito, manipulated by Uchiha Madara, and another of Jiraiya-sensei's disciples, Nagato. They're all in prison now."
"Obito? You mean Uchiha Obito?"
Hearing this, Namikaze Minato wore a stunned expression. Obito from his class? How could it possibly be him...
Kushina replied, "It's him, he is now in the Security Team prison, heavily guarded, and the final outcome might be execution. Obito didn't die at that time, it was because...."
After listening to Kushina's explanation, Namikaze Minato was a bit shocked. He didn't expect Obito, who once aimed to become Hokage, to do such a thing.
But now that he's been caught, and not knowing when he might be executed, Namikaze Minato shook his head, not wanting to say anything.
"Minato, do you... want to be resurrected?"
Kushina was internally conflicted for a long time, pondering this question since dinner, and finally summoned the courage to ask.
"Resurrection? Kushina, you mean... truly coming back to life?"
"Yes, the Fifth Generation Hokage seems to be able to bring the dead back to life. The First and Second Hokage were both resurrected by them.... If you want, I... am willing to ask the Fifth Hokage."
After Kushina said this, her heart was in her throat. She was somewhat scared of Minato's answer, but she had been working hard for Minato's resurrection up to now. If she couldn't even bring herself to ask, Kushina wouldn't be able to accept it.
"Resurrection... must be very troublesome, right? It's probably a forbidden technique that's hard to execute."
Namikaze Minato could see Kushina's struggle, sensing something was off since dinner; she was likely thinking about this. He deduced that Kushina certainly hoped for his resurrection, but it would be incredibly difficult, which is why she seemed so restless....even blaming herself.
So Namikaze Minato said, "Kushina, resurrecting the dead is a forbidden act and must be very troublesome. If you ask, it would put the Fifth Hokage in a difficult position, so let's not do it."
"No, Minato, I can give it a try...."
"Dying in a mission might be a ninja's fate, Kushina."
