Chapter 106 - Peaceful Life

Part 106

The morning feels soft — almost unreal.

Sunlight drips through the curtains in slow, golden ribbons, warming the quiet air.

Aura stretches, listening to the faint sounds of the house: the kettle boiling, the faint hum of Adrian's voice.

He's up early again.

She smiles, pulling the blanket tighter for just a moment, letting herself feel it — this peace she's created.

No fans screaming his name.

No reporters.

No endless noise.

Just the two of them.

When she finally gets up and steps into the kitchen, he's already there, pouring her a cup of tea.

He looks over his shoulder and smiles.

"Morning."

It's such a simple word, but it still makes her chest ache in the best way.

"Morning," she echoes softly. "You're spoiling me lately."

He laughs under his breath. "Guess I'm getting used to it here."

Her heart catches on that word — used to it.

She clings to it, cherishes it like a promise.

They eat breakfast together by the window, watching birds chasing each other through the air.

The world seems harmless. Far away.

She has no idea that while they sit there, the internet is burning.

That somewhere, in the city, a fan has seen the message — that line from his unreleased song — and posted it everywhere.

That hashtags are alive again.

That the world has begun to whisper, "He's back."

Aura doesn't know any of that yet.

All she knows is the warmth of the mug in her hands, and the way Adrian's smile looks when the morning light touches it.

And for now, she believes, completely and beautifully,

that nothing can take this away from her.
