Chapter 618 - Chapter 313: Move Closer to Me! (Part 2)

A group of people stood in disarray against the wind, simply watching as Jack flew from one end to the other, slashing from southeast to northwest.

In the blink of an eye, more than an hour had passed. Normally, anyone would be exhausted, yet Jack seemed to be getting more energetic, his stamina seemingly inexhaustible...

"Ah!"

Just as everyone was at a loss for words, a piercing scream from a woman echoed from within the mist!

The next instant!

The thick fog around them suddenly cleared, and the view became strikingly clear.

A figure dressed in a white uniform and wearing a bizarre mask fell from the sky, landing on a massive reef, a ghastly wound split open on their chest by Jack's scythe, with blood gushing out.

"That outfit? CP-0, huh, so it was you causing trouble!"

Jack grinned viciously as he dived down, landing heavily on the back of the CP0 agent, pinning them tightly.

"Finally couldn't dodge in time, huh? Got your true form exposed by me! Your fog-controlling ability isn't so great, is it? Hey, tell me, are you a Paramecia-type or Logia-type?"

The CP-0 agent couldn't possibly respond, struggling desperately, and soon the two were locked in a chaotic fight.

He actually managed to stumble upon a baited rat!

From the deck afar, everyone watched in shock.

At the same time, some noticed that the sea area previously shrouded in fog suddenly revealed the silhouettes of dozens of ships.

Not just those of the Endgame, but also many other miscellaneous ships.

They too had obviously gotten stuck in the strange fog while passing through, circling around like headless flies.

Strange...

The leader of this fleet, a middle-aged man with a full beard from the Stationed Corps, pinched his chin, falling into confusion.

Judging by this stance, it doesn't seem specifically aimed at them, the Endgame, but more like an indiscriminate blockade of the sea area to prevent any ships from entering deeper waters ahead.

"Nautical Chart!"

The bearded middle-aged man decided sharply.

"Yes, Sir!"

Someone immediately brought out the nautical chart and spread it out on the table.

This was the newly revised edition just released within the Endgame, detailing the sea areas around their territories with outstanding accuracy and quality, far exceeding any commercially available charts.

It took only a few days for it to become wildly popular among the Four Major Armies of the Endgame, highly praised.

It's said that the map's author is Lord Xiano's sister, Nami, which surprised many and made them look at that somewhat willful young lady with new respect.

Initially, everyone thought that young lady's specialty was pilfering items when her hands got itchy.

Unexpectedly, she had such remarkable skills...

The bearded middle-aged man stared at the nautical chart, measuring and comparing with his finger for a while, then slapped a spot heavily:

"Here it is! Judging by the shape of the fog-covered area and the lost ships' routes in this region, there's only one possibility! These CP agents are carrying out an indiscriminate area clearance blockade, intercepting every ship that might pass by this island in the past few days!"

Blockade and interception?

The others promptly focused their gaze over.

The spot he marked was one of the three islands that must be passed after entering the New World.

Thunder God Island!

...

Half an hour later.

The dozens of trapped ships had already figured out the situation, and each ship's captain instructed their crew to adjust the course, preparing to continue their respective journeys.

However.

Before leaving, they didn't forget to come by to express their gratitude.

"We really owe it to you folks from the Endgame this time!"

An elderly captain with graying hair stood at the bow, taking off his hat and bowing deeply towards the flagship where Jack was, chuckling wryly:

"If it weren't for your intervention, all us old bones might have been stuck here until we ran out of ammo and food."

"Delayed for less than two days, I should still be able to barely deliver my cargo on time."

Another captain sighed, "Thanks to Lord Jack passing by to assist. I've long admired him as one of the top five leaders of the Endgame, and meeting him today, I realized how young and promising Lord Jack is!"

"Exactly, exactly!"

"I heard it was World Government agents causing trouble, and they couldn't withstand against you, Sir. Hahaha!"

"For sure! Forget about agents, even if a Navy Vice Admiral came over, few would survive over under Lord Jack's hand!"

These captains quite honestly didn't know whether a CP-0 agent or Navy Vice Admiral was more formidable, but they knew making Jack look good was the way to go.

"Alright, alright, get going already."

Jack impatiently waved his hand.

Truth be told, he felt quite pleased hearing all this praise. Although it was an unintentional action, it still counted as doing a good deed, which made him a bit happy.

But when he turned around, seeing the body of the CP-0 agent on the ground, he couldn't help but frown again.

Sigh...

Should he blame himself for being too harsh, or was this woman simply too frail?

He didn't even use the scythe consciously, yet after a few punches, she still couldn't withstand it.

Jack squatted down, harboring a last glimmer of hope, cautiously poking the female CP0's corpse with his finger.

Still no response at all.

She was indeed dead.

Frustrated, he ruffled his hair. He had planned to interrogate for information, to get out of her why she was blocking this area in the first place.
