Chapter 627 - Chapter 317: Give You Face? What Face Do You Have?

Three consecutive Kamusari—how fast can they be unleashed?

Within a single second, they all tore through the air, streaking straight for Shamrock's back.

The black-and-red light almost lit up the entire night sky for a moment.

"Damn it!"

Shamrock sensed the disturbance, twisted his head for a glance, and his face instantly froze in horror.

He was far too familiar with this move!

This was his blood brother Shanks's trump card, but when Shanks used it, he had to charge it up, brew his sword intent, and burn through a huge amount of stamina.

There was no way to swing it twice in quick succession.

Yet this guy was throwing out Kamusari like it was eating or drinking??

There was no time to think. The three black-and-red Sword Qi slashes were already upon him.

Swoosh!

He twisted his body hard, barely dodging the first strike by a hair's breadth, but the second was already right in front of him.

"Get lost!"

Shamrock roared, swung his sword to block, his blade colliding with the black-and-red slash in a burst of blinding sparks.

This Kamusari's power was about the same as Shanks's, but the Supreme King imbued in it was even more troublesome. He poured everything into it and just barely managed to stop it.

But as for the third Kamusari, there was simply nothing he could do.

He couldn't block it, couldn't dodge it!

He could only watch helplessly as that Sword Qi swept horizontally through his knees.

Both legs were severed clean on the spot, blood gushing out like a fountain!

"Aaargh!!!"

Shamrock let out a shrill scream, his face twisted by agony, and his whole body crashed heavily down from midair.

"I…I…"

Staring at his severed legs, Shamrock panicked, instinctively trying to prop himself up to crawl away and keep running.

But before he could move, a fierce aura was already bearing down on him.

Shamrock raised his head in despair.

Sure enough.

Shano was already standing in front of him at some point, looking down from on high, his gaze as indifferent as if he were staring at an ant.

Or rather, not just as if.

Someone like Shamrock, who had only just set foot on the threshold of Emperor General, who already had a psychological shadow toward Shano, and who wasn't even in peak condition—

In Shano's hands, he really wasn't any different from an ant.

He couldn't even last as long as Jack.

"Come to think of it, you've already inherited the position of leader of the Divine Knight Order, haven't you?"

Shano stepped on Shamrock's back, pinning this elite powerhouse among the Heavenly Celestial Dragons firmly to the ground.

"And this is all you've got? What, among the nineteen families of fat pigs in the Heavenly Celestial Dragons, they couldn't find a second reliable candidate?"

This unvarnished mockery made Shamrock's face flush red, like a slab of pig liver.

But the situation left him no choice. He could only swallow the humiliation and lower his head, muttering:

"Spare me, Shano. From now on I can guarantee that I and the Divine Knight Order under me will no longer be enemies of you Endgame, and we won't…"

"Let him go."

Another voice suddenly cut in. Shamrock froze and lifted his head toward the sound.

It was Red-haired Shanks, struggling to prop himself up, staggering as he walked over.

"Reason?"

Shano raised an eyebrow and turned his head. "Give me a reason. Is it that you can make this guy open his mouth and spill a ton of useful intel, or that you can talk him into outright defecting and becoming my subordinate?"

"I…I can't do any of that."

Shanks was taken aback, then gave a bitter smile. Clutching at the still-bleeding wound in his chest, he looked complexly at the Shamrock pinned underfoot:

"It's just that, no matter what, this bastard is still my own blood brother. I really can't just watch him die like this."

"That's it?" Shano asked in puzzlement. "Just that?"

"Yes."

Shanks nodded, speaking earnestly:

"I know this bastard just tried to kill me. I also know you and I aren't that close, so this sounds strange, but… I still beg you, just treat it as giving me some face and spare his life."

"Give you face?"

Shano couldn't help but laugh out loud.

He stared at Shanks, his eyes gradually turning cold. "And what face do you have?"

"Time and again, you secretly obstruct my operations. Time and again, you try to interfere with my plans. Now I come here to save my subordinates and, along the way, happen to save you too. You don't bother being grateful, fine—but the first thing out of your mouth is to persuade me to let an enemy go?"

"Someone like you…"

The tachi slowly slid from its sheath again, the sudden white gleam of cold steel reflecting Shamrock's face, twisted out of shape by terror.

"What the hell are you, to think you've got the right to ask me for face?!"

Slash!

The blade flashed. Blood sprayed three feet high.

Shamrock's head rolled a few times across the ground before coming to a stop right beside Red Hair's feet.

Those wide-open eyes still held a look of disbelief, clearly unable to accept that his life would end this way.

Shanks stood frozen, staring at those pupils identical to his own, his lips trembling, but unable to utter a single word.

At some point, fine rain had begun drifting down from the night sky.

Shano flicked the blood from his blade, sheathed the sword, and looked at Shanks with frosty eyes.

"Anything else you want to say? Or rather, shouldn't you be giving me an explanation?"

"Back in Black Stone City, when we went our separate ways, I warned you. If you want to wait for your Nika, fine. If you want to keep playing your far-sighted schemer, fine. But don't interfere with me, and don't you dare try to stop me. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind taking your other arm."

"You broke your word, whatever. But now you dare come here to lecture me? What, you want me to send you down after him, so you brothers can be reunited?"
