Chapter 1023 - Chapter 423: Hermione's Ambitions (2)

Now, the point deduction from Snape's class seems to have experienced some inflation because the Gryffindor students are just too good at scoring points, and at the end of the term, Dumbledore always gives Harry extra points, making it so that no matter how many points Professor Snape deducts, he can't suppress Gryffindor's momentum.

It seems that Slytherin will have to wait until Potter graduates to have a chance at flipping the table, Snape thought to himself.

"And you, Weasley."

Professor Snape turned to Ron, his expression icy.

"Where's your antidote?"

Ron, unfazed, calmly pulled out a dung-like bezoar from his pocket.

Professor Snape took the bezoar, inspected it for a moment, and then looked back at Ron.

Just when Ron thought he was doomed, Professor Snape finally spoke.

"A bit of cleverness there, ten points to Gryffindor," he said.

Ron didn't know why Professor Snape was willing to give him ten points, but he knew that managing to squeeze five points out of that old bat...no, old professor's hands for Gryffindor was already an unparalleled accomplishment in the Weasley family.

Of course, he wasn't aware that Professor Snape gave him points because he thought Ron had seriously listened and noted down the uses of a bezoar in the special lessons.

After class, Ron's gaining ten points in the Magic Potion class became quite the talking point.

Even Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff knew about it.

That evening, Ron received a call from his twin brothers.

"We've heard about it, Little Ronnie," Fred said proudly, "You got ten points from the old bat—it's not just a small step for you, but a giant leap for the Weasley family and Gryffindor as a whole... My God, I can't believe a Gryffindor, a Weasley, managed to get ten points from Professor Snape! Ten points!"

Harry really couldn't bring himself to say that even your great-grandfather Gareth never managed to score ten points from Professor Sharp, not even cumulatively.

Did your Weasley family just clash with every Magic Potion professor?

"We've got phones now," George boasted, showing off his phone to Ron, "We love it, this is the kind of style wizards should have—of course, we're planning to post videos online about the wonders of Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes, I want to share it with the world!"

"That's great!" Ron immediately said, knowing that his brothers, now making big money, wouldn't forget about their good little brother.

In fact, that was true. After making money, the twins got Ron a few Dragon Skin Jackets, which looked trendy and fashionable.

Ever since the phones appeared, Hogwarts' nightlife became more colorful.

Hermione and Ginny still had their phones, but the tablets had been lent out, becoming common property in the dormitory—nobody could resist the allure of these gadgets, which led to a secret competition among them all to buy the latest version once it hit the market!

"What do you think?" one night at dinner, Hermione suddenly asked Harry, "If I started a column on a video website, what do you think? Like… some educational programming?"

"Educational programming?" Harry asked, puzzled.

"Yeah, about the History of Magic and some tidbits about the Magic World, mainly for young wizards before they start schooling. What do you think?" Hermione said, ruffling her messy hair.

Harry opened his mouth.

"Oh, you mean, like an educational program, like Blue Peter, right?" Harry asked, enlightenment dawning on him.

Blue Peter is a children's educational program made by the British Broadcasting Corporation, or BBC, aired since 1958.

Named after the blue Peter flag used in 17th-century sailing.

It targets an audience of 6 to 14-year-olds, focusing on hands-on activities, pet care, and other practical content, aiming to cultivate children's practical skills and societal awareness.

"Yes, just like Blue Peter," Hermione nodded excitedly.

Next to them, Ron felt like a duck listening to thunder, completely unaware of what they were talking about, utterly confused.

"What are you talking about?" Ron asked, puzzled.

Hermione turned to explain Blue Peter to Ron thoroughly.

"That sounds great," Ron nodded quickly, "If I had such a show when I was younger, I would have loved it..."

At this point, Ron tentatively said, "But, Hermione, I have a suggestion..."

Hermione was very happy to hear Ron suggesting something.

She smiled and said, "Go ahead."

"Let's agree first," Ron shifted a bit uncomfortably in his seat, "you can't get mad after I say it!"

"How could I be mad?" Hermione chided Ron with a playful glance.

Ron cleared his throat and then wrinkled his nose, "First, could you not be so… you know?"

"Know what?" Hermione asked, puzzled.

But Harry got it right away. He knew Ron meant Hermione sometimes came off a bit with a know-it-all arrogance.

"That kind of… air." Ron imitated Hermione, "It makes you seem a bit condescending and oblivious… Of course, I don't think that, I'm just afraid others might."

To be fair, Ron's survival instinct was pretty strong.

"I understand." Hermione nodded and smiled, "You're considering the best for my program, don't worry, I won't be upset."

"And another thing..." Ron said again, "I think educational programs need to be fun, can't be dull, otherwise kids won't enjoy watching them, don't you think? Hermione?"

Hermione very much agreed with Ron's views, so she nodded and said, "You're right. Any other suggestions?"

"That's it," Ron shrugged, "as long as you avoid these two issues, I think your show will be a big hit among kids."

"How about..." Harry suddenly said, "Why not record one episode first, let us taste it and provide feedback, also, I remember a lot of people have younger wizards at home? Get them to watch and give you some opinions."

"That's a great idea!" Hermione's eyes lit up, she stood up quickly, "I'm going to plan now, see what to cover in the first episode to keep people engaged!"

Saying that, she dashed off in a hurry.

"She's really proactive, isn't she?" Ron shrugged, grabbing a chicken leg from the plate, "But I think she's really suited to such programs, after all… Miss Omniscient, right? A nickname isn't given wrong, only wrongly interpreted."

Harry held in his laughter, swallowing it back down.

Indeed, Professor Snape did have a knack for giving nicknames.

But since Hermione was his friend, joining in on the joke felt a bit wrong.

"So what do you think I should do then?" Ron asked Harry, "Hermione doing this makes me think about starting a video channel myself… Any ideas?"

Before Harry could speak, Seamus, the idea guy, chimed in.

"Just live-stream eating chicken legs," he said, "Don't look at me like that, Ron, I'm not mocking you—think about it, many people have a curiosity about novelties, and you're quite attached to chicken legs… Oh right, your gimmick could be being a big eater, like those Muggle World big eater competitions, you could eat as many chicken legs as possible in videos..."
