Chapter 468 - Chapter 184: Snape: Black Dog, Time for Your Potion! (4)

"I think Headmaster's right," Harry handed an ice cream to Dumbledore, "Eating some ice cream can indeed make you forget the oppression we just felt in the Judgement Room."

Dumbledore was slightly taken aback, then took the ice cream Harry handed to him and smiled happily.

The two sat on the bench outside the ice cream shop until they finished their ice cream before returning to Hogwarts.

Back at school, Dumbledore announced the final verdict of the Wizengamot trial to the professors waiting in the Headmaster's Office.

Upon hearing that the Wizengamot finally restored Sirius to innocence, Lupin sat back down on the chair, grasping the armrests tightly, his knuckles turning white from the effort.

As one of Sirius Black's best friends, Lupin was also happy that his friend was cleared of charges.

As for Peter...

There was certainly heartache, but more than that, Lupin felt elated.

This treacherous rat of a friend perhaps belongs in Azkaban after all.

But Snape was clearly very unhappy. He stood there coldly watching the celebrating professors, without any intention of joining in.

He didn't care about Black's matters — one could even say he would rather have Black constantly wronged and his soul consumed by Dementors.

Besides James Potter, Black was absolutely the person he hated most in this world.

Even if Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew were tied together, they couldn't compare to the level of annoyance Black caused him.

Harry, of course, noticed Snape's displeasure, but he didn't say anything. After all, the grievances of the previous generation were complex beyond words.

What else could be said? Keeping silent was the best choice.

"The urgent matter," Dumbledore said to the professors, "is to find Sirius Black. He's now roaming around the outskirts of Hogwarts, which is dangerous for him —because the Forbidden Forest contains many dangerous Magical Creatures, and the ones Professor Scamander raises aren't exactly tame. It wouldn't be good if he ran into them."

"I think he already has," Snape curled his lips and suddenly said, "Think about it, Dumbledore — what has he been living on during his time outside Hogwarts? I highly suspect that due to his violent nature, the Magical Creatures in the Forbidden Forest will suffer because of him..."

As he said this, Professor Snape's lips curled into a bloodthirsty smile, as if he was already foreseeing the hardships and tortures Black suffered.

"Good intuition, Severus," Professor Lupin seemed to be in a good mood, even taking time to jab at Snape, "It seems your keen intuition has failed again—"

"Oh, so you admit that all this time, you've been the one supplying help to Black?" Snape sneered, looking at Lupin, "What can I say? You two are like an old couple, inseparable, aren't you? And that big-headed Potter is the third wheel between you..."

"Hey!" Harry complained discontentedly at Snape; insulting a father in front of a son was not just a little rude.

If not for the old parental grudges, Harry would have thrown a harmless Small Spell long ago.

"I've long told Dumbledore that there's a mole within our school," Snape said with a cold huff. "It seems now — the mole has revealed themselves, hasn't it, Lupin?"

"Severus!" Dumbledore said sternly, interrupting Snape's snide remarks, "Remus is our Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, not some mole."

"Oh, alright," Snape replied in a light tone.

But he still mentally applauded his own persistence, one of which was... brewing the Wolf Poison Potion for Lupin with an incredible unspeakable taste, which was one of his proudest inventions.

The other was almost disfiguring that big-headed Potter with the Divine Shadowless Blade; unfortunately, to avoid expulsion, he had to recite the Counter Curse.

After confirming that the next task was to find Sirius, Harry left the Headmaster's office.

He returned to the hall and sat down beside Cassandra.

"Oh, you're back?" Cassandra pushed the fries in front of her toward Harry, "How was the Judgement Court? Was it fun?"

"It was a trial, Cassandra," Harry said helplessly, "You should know, I went to participate in the trial of the real culprit who betrayed my mom and dad, not for a fun sightseeing."

"That's really a pity," Cassandra didn't hold her tongue despite Harry's words, "So, was that rat Animagus sentenced to death?"

"It's not very popular to sentence people to death now, you know. Even the notorious Lestranges and those Death Eaters were only sentenced to permanent imprisonment."

Harry felt a bit regretful, but it was expected.

"So^"

Cassandra elegantly cut a piece of steak and placed it in her mouth. After chewing carefully, she picked up the napkin beside her and lightly dabbed her lips. "What are you going to do?" she continued.

"I'm satisfied with the verdict, and I respect all decisions made by the Wizengamot and the Minister," Harry said in a very official and procedural manner.
