Assault on the Draig-Estate:
(1925 A.D., The Draig Estate, The Township of Resdren, Nornland, Scotland, The Reich of Greater Germania)
John bursts through the door into Emma's room with Oskar passed out in his arms. Springing into action, Emma takes Oskar and lays him on the bed. John turns, locking the bedroom door behind him as he takes a deep breath to calm himself. Emma, noticing the blood dripping from Oskar's still freshly stretched entrance, turns on John angrily.
"YOU SAID YOU WERE DIFFERENT THAN HIM!" Emma bellows, glaring daggers at John.
"I was… I mean I am, look… it's complicated and I doubt I have time to explain it all right now. Suffice to say the devil made me do it," John counters. Emma rubs her forehead in frustration before breathing deep and reminding herself that she knows John's heart and knows that he would never willingly hurt Oskar.
"We are going to discuss this later," Emma replies, making her way over to Oskar's bedside.
"Gladly, but right now, I need to make a call," John responds, reaching into his coat pocket and pulling out a thin silver metallic flip-phone.
"Yes, this is John Darling. I need to be patched through to K.B.I. Liaison Vincent Frost right away."
"Yeah, yeah. Can the pleasantries Vincent. I need a pick up with a VIP Escort Detail from my current location to the K.B.I. for me and two to three tag-alongs, and I need it now. Tell Oksana to have the lab ready for a new patient. I'll expla… Fuck! We're under attack! Get your ass here and evacuate us NOW!" John barks, pocketing the flip phone and summoning a magnificent katana as the door to the room is shattered inward by the explosive force of a double-barrel shotgun blast. Emma scoops up Oskar and takes cover behind the other side of the bed.
"What the fuck do we do?" Emma shouts to John who takes a flanking position off to the side of the door, waiting for their attacker to enter the room. John gestures for Emma to be quiet.
"Time to die, Emma, you goody two-shoes bitch!" the shotgun-wielding Tilda shouts from just beyond the door.
"Now… Now, sister, it would be a waste to kill a girl as pretty as her when I am sure the demons of the house would love some new breeding stock," Hilda muses sadistically as she approaches her sister with dual handguns at the ready.
"There's no escape, Emma. All the people in the town are on our side and will kill you and that foolish goody good Childminder on sight, and there are even more of us on the way. Why not make this easy on yourself? Just surrender and you and John can spend your lives sexually satisfying the demons of the house. I'm sure it is much more enjoyable than it seems," Hilda presses casually.
"Oh, for sure," Tilda laughs in agreement just before the sudden sound of another shotgun rings out, blasting a massive hole through Hilda's body, splattering Tilda with her sister's blood and gore. Tilda screams hysterically as her sister's body falls hard to the ground with a heavy wet thud.
"You will not harm the young master," Crowler declares firmly as he reloads his shotgun.
"How dare you! You donkey-fucking retarded mass of lard!" Tilda rages, blasting Crowler's head off with a shotgun blast to the face. John growls with rage, using the opportunity to get the drop on Tilda, slicing her arm clean off with one savage swipe of his blade before bringing the sword down once more, burying it deep into her collarbone. Tilda's body falls dead next to her fallen sister. John turns briefly to look at the now headless Crowler and mutters a prayer of peaceful travels before rushing back into the room and making his way toward the bedroom window.
"Come on, quick. We need to get to the roof for evac," John orders, opening the window and summoning a ladder along the external wall so that they can gain access to the roof. John hurries up the ladder to the roof. He looks out over the grounds only to be greeted by the chilling sight of a massive blood-thirsty murder mob closing in on the manor. Emma hurries up the ladder right behind him with Oskar in her arms. Some members of the murder mob wielding hunting rifles begin shooting at them, causing John and Emma to go low. Emma lays her body over Oskar, shielding him from any potential harm. John and Emma look towards the skies as the sound of an engine coming closer overwhelms the noise of incoming gunfire. Soon a great Shimmering Armoured VTOL decloaks at the edge of the roof. Its door slides open as a ramp lowers for them.
"That's us," John declares, gesturing for Emma to follow him while staying low as he crouch-runs his way over to the ramp. As John, Emma and Oskar make it to the ramp, they are greeted by Vincent Frost and Agent Joan, who help them to their seats before shouting for the pilot to take off.
Once onboard and settled, John gives Vincent, Emma and Joan a complete rundown of what happened in his room. Everything from the possession of Oskar as a weapon against him and the dream he had been temporarily trapped in during the event. John leans in and kisses Oskar's feverish forehead as Vincent sighs in contemplation. Joan leans over and gives the young boy an injection to reduce his fever.
"I'm so sorry. I wanted to protect you from further trauma but now I've hurt you just like so many in the past."
"It's not your fault, John, the forces that rule that house wanted you dead and they tried to use Oskar as their weapon. They hurt him, you didn't," Emma replies, staring tenderly at John in an effort to help him feel better as she gently cleans away the blood around Oskar's entrance.
"She's right. What happened was not your fault" Vincent chimes in, briefly jostling John's shoulder supportively.
"And for what it's worth. It's good to see you again, John. Even under such horrible circumstances, I must tell you that your sister is still very much in a coma back at the K.B.I. Estate."
"I know that Vincent, but she was also with me in that dream, she saved my life," John presses, stroking the soft golden hair of the tender lad.
"Well, according to the scans, the boy's condition, while stable for the moment, is most certainly not good. Some readings are off the charts and others are just downright weird. I have never seen anything like this. He needs Dr. Oksana's help," Joan interjects as she finishes her final scans of Oskar's current state.
"Yes, well we should be arriving shortly," Vincent replies, getting up and making his way toward the pilot.
