Chisato had already explained the terms: she'd get stability, protection, and power, but she'd essentially belong to Ethan. Nanao didn't care about "love"; she just wanted to survive.
Just as Ethan was about to set a time, his brow furrowed. "Sorry, wait here. I have a 'pest' to deal with."
He teleported to Aisu Academy and appeared in a music room. He saw a mechanical angel about to kill a female teacher.
"Long time no see, Olunice. You're still as ugly as ever," Ethan remarked.
"The Red Dragon Emperor!" Olunice, the mechanical angel from the Three-Factions meeting, hissed.
Ethan didn't give him a chance to act. At the Sub-Dragon God level, his mere presence paralyzed the Demon-Lord-level angel. Ethan used psychokinesis to rescue the teacher and pinned Olunice to the wall.
"Why are you here?" Ethan asked.
"I came to ask why Aphreya (Chisato), Frigga, and Sif abandoned the God Realm," Olunice spat. "I was going to bring them back by force."
"And the teacher?"
"I was going to kill her and take her place to get close to them."
Ethan realized that even though the timeline had changed, some events were still trying to "converge." In the original story, Olunice killed a male teacher. Here, he targeted a random female teacher.
"Any last words?"
Olunice remained silent. Ethan didn't waste time. He pulverized the mechanical angel instantly, ensuring his death was painless. He looked at the unconscious, pretty teacher. Well, at least she's safe now. He turned his focus back to the upcoming session with Nanao. The True Ancestor blood was finally within his reach.
