Morning sunlight poured through the towering palace windows, casting pale gold across the marble corridors as I walked quietly beside Maribel. Servants moved carefully around us carrying stacks of documents, trays of tea, and baskets filled with medicinal herbs while knights stationed throughout the halls bowed the moment they noticed me approaching. Normally the attention barely registered in my mind anymore, but after everything Cecilia had said yesterday, every glance suddenly felt heavier than before. For several moments neither Maribel nor I spoke before finally I broke the silence quietly. "I would like to visit Gabriel Wayfarer myself."
Maribel glanced sideways at me immediately. "Why? You could simply summon him here."
"I know," I admitted softly. "But I want to go personally."
Maribel hummed thoughtfully before nodding once. "Alright."
