Chapter 641 - Chapter 639: The End of the Ancient Clans

On the Demon Flame Plain—Ripples spread across space as Liu Xi, dressed in azure robes, slowly stepped out from the distortion. His expression was calm and gentle, yet the world itself seemed to bow before him, trembling in reverence at the presence of its supreme master.

"I thought I'd have to use you all to wage wars, but it seems the Ancient Clans managed to destroy one another before I could even act. The few survivors left… let them serve to replenish the population of the Central Plains."

Within Liu Xi's eyes, space itself flickered and shattered. With a single thought, waves of spatial ripples spread outward. The void twisted, revealing within it a boundless desert of golden sand—The entrance to the Demon Flame Space.

In a flash, Liu Xi's figure vanished into the distortion. Space folded upon itself as he stepped once more into the inner realm of the Demon Flame Space.

As he moved, the scenes around him shifted like a passing dream until they froze in place. Endless crimson magma flowed beneath him, and above it floated countless azure light clusters. Within each sphere, a figure slept soundly.

Xiao Chen, Gu Nanhai, Huo Yao, Yao Wangui, Hun Mo… All of them were here, suspended in stillness.

Liu Xi stood high in the void, gazing down upon these would-be flame puppets. Years ago, they had once been formidable existences—now they were nothing but refuse. Even keeping them here felt like wasted space.

There were others too—Hun Feng, Huo Xuan, Yao Tian, and Yao Ling, Huo Zhi, Gu Xun'er… He wasn't keeping them for sentiment or beauty. He simply intended to give them another chance.

With a flick of his fingers, Liu Xi formed a series of intricate seals. Dou Qi and Spiritual Power intertwined, spreading as gentle ripples that enveloped every slumbering body.

The azure light clusters flared and burned away, replaced by the dancing blaze of cyan flame. Its fluctuations were terrifying—enough to annihilate any Half Saint who dared approach—yet within the flames, none were harmed. Their brows furrowed in pain, faces contorted as the azure fire seeped into their souls, etching an indelible mark.

On each forehead bloomed a small lotus-shaped imprint.

Liu Xi withdrew his hand seals and exhaled softly, the corners of his lips curving into a faint smile. The lotus mark on his own brow gleamed faintly as the surrounding flames receded.

"Done."

The slumbering figures stirred awake. Their eyes first blank, then clearing as memory returned.

Xiao Chen's gaze was complicated. "I didn't think… I'd ever awaken again."

The Hun Mo's eyes glimmered with venomous hatred. "You damned little wretch—how dare you use me! I'll see you dead and scattered to ashes!"

Across from him, Gu Xun'er blinked in confusion. The Heavenly Flame within her had vanished, yet she still lived. The realization chilled her heart.

Then came Hun Feng's furious roar as his memories returned. "Elder Hun Mo! The culprit is right there—kill him!"

The shout roused the others. They turned toward Liu Xi—his aura faint, nearly imperceptible, yet beneath that calm stood a being whose very existence exuded the authority of Heaven and Earth.

Liu Xi's eyes passed indifferently over Hun Feng, cold and detached—like a god gazing upon an ant.

A moment later, the lotus imprint on Hun Feng's brow flared. His pupils dulled, his consciousness collapsed into nothingness.

He became an empty puppet once again.

This was Liu Xi's perfected flame slave technique—allowing them to retain their consciousness until he willed otherwise. With a single thought, their minds could be erased.

But this one… Liu Xi had no intention of keeping.

A pulse of azure light burst from Hun Feng's forehead, and within seconds, his body turned to ash—gone without trace.

The silence that followed chilled every heart. They realized the truth: they were not free.

Fear took hold. They stepped back, eyes wary. Hun Mo's face paling.

Hun Feng had been a favored heir of the Hun Clan, grandson of a senior elder. His death was a provocation they could not ignore. Hun Mo stepped forward, face contorted with rage.

"You insolent—"

He never finished the sentence.

With a mere thought from Liu Xi, Hun Mo froze. His eyes dulled, their minds wiped clean—they too became hollow flame puppets.

The rest recoiled in horror, terrified into silence.

Liu Xi's calm voice echoed through the space.

"I came here for one purpose: to end this. You will return to your clans, surrender your treasures, dissolve your bloodlines into the Central Plains, and mingle with the common people. Do so, and I will permit a fraction of your lineage to continue."

That was Liu Xi's decree for the remaining Ancient Clans. Their wars had devastated the continent; now, their descendants would repay that debt—by restoring life to the lands they had ruined.

The bloodlines of the ancient clans would mingle with humanity's, birthing new generations of cultivators. Though their power would thin, the sheer number of descendants would ensure countless new talents in the future.

In decades to come, the Central Plains would see a golden age of cultivation—an era of balance and vitality, not one where a handful of ancient clans towered above all.

The era of monopolized power was over.

Of course, such fairness came at the cost of the ancient clans' pride. And Liu Xi would bear the infamy of being their executioner.

As expected, fury flashed in their eyes, but no one dared speak. The sight of Hun Feng's ashes had already crushed their defiance.

Liu Xi smiled faintly—yet the gleam in his eyes was cold as steel. A surge of the Emperor's might rolled forth, bending heaven and earth beneath its weight.

"Dou Di…"

The crowd shuddered in disbelief. The oppressive power left no doubt—only a Dou Di could command such authority.

Liu Xi's voice descended like divine decree.

"I am here to give orders, not to negotiate. Defy me, and you die. Do not test my patience. Still, there is something I shall let you see."

With a flicker of his thought, waves of Spiritual Power spread outward, weaving into streams of memory that entered every soul present.

Visions flooded their minds—of the Ancient Clan wars, the Yao Realm's battle, the destruction of the Hun Realm, Liu Xi's ascension to Dou Di… They saw it all, as if living through it themselves.

When the images faded, silence consumed the space. Terror and despair spread among them. They could no longer deny what they had witnessed.

Then, a gentle yet firm voice broke the stillness.

"Yao Ling, representing the Yao Clan, submits to the decree of the Azure Lotus Emperor. The Yao Clan shall disperse its bloodline across the continent and humbly beg His Majesty's mercy to let our lineage endure. Also, I ask that the traitor Hun Mo be handed to me for punishment. The Yao Clan will offer all we possess in return."

Liu Xi turned toward the pale yet resolute woman and smiled faintly.

"Approved."

Yao Ling's clarity and decisiveness impressed him. While Yao Tian and Yao Wangui hesitated in fear, she had already chosen the only path forward.

"The Yan Clan follows suit," Huo Xuan declared solemnly. "We too submit to the Azure Lotus Emperor's will. We ask only that our bloodline may continue."

One after another, submission spread. To survive, they bent their knees.

At last, Gu Xun'er's delicate face shifted with emotion. Gu Yuan was dead—her clan's fate now rested with her.

"Gu Xun'er, on behalf of the Gu Clan, accepts the decree of the Azure Lotus Emperor. We will dissolve our clan into the world and do all required—only let the Gu Clan bloodline continue."

Liu Xi's eyes softened slightly. Without another word, he turned and began to leave, his calm voice lingering in the air.

"Approved."

When his figure vanished, every gaze turned toward the remaining traitor, Hun Mo—eyes brimming with hatred and vengeance.

The rumble of Dou Techniques soon echoed through the space, violent and unending.

From that day forth—The Ancient Clans were no more.
