Chapter 95 - Chapter 87

"It looks a little unstable. Still, that Quirk is really strange—but compared to the entrance exam, this performance is much better."

Tenya Iida, who was in the same testing group as Midoriya Izuku, adjusted his glasses and sighed in admiration.

"Isn't it dazzling?" Yuga Aoyama said cheerfully, brushing his hair back and striking a pose as he praised Izuku's performance.

Bakugō Katsuki said nothing.

His mouth hung open slightly, eyes narrowed, irritation flooding his chest—far stronger than when he had lost to Lock earlier.

"DEKU… you bastard! You lied to me for ten years! I'll kill you!"

Blinded by rage, Bakugō lunged toward Midoriya, who cried out in shock.

For as long as he could remember, Quirks were discovered before the age of four. People without them were nothing more than stones by the roadside—worthless, insignificant.

That was how Bakugō had always viewed Midoriya.

And yet—

He remembered that day, after being utterly crushed by Lock.

"Midoriya Izuku is far better than you."

And again, after the entrance exam—

"Midoriya Izuku is far better than you."

Mockery.

Pure mockery.

Midoriya's 50-meter dash was only 0.01 seconds faster than his.

Just 0.01.

Hatred boiled over.

So it was all a lie?

Ten years of deception?

Ten years of hiding his Quirk?

Bakugō's reason snapped.

"Ghh—what is this cloth?! It's insanely tough!"

Before he could reach Midoriya, several light-gray binding scarves shot forward, wrapping tightly around his arm, torso, and head.

They were Aizawa Shouta's capture weapons—carbon fiber woven with special alloys.

"Don't vent your personal emotions," Aizawa said coldly. "It's a waste of time. We still have seven tests left."

He retrieved the binding cloth and glanced once at the two boys before continuing the test.

Bakugō lowered his head.

He was furious—but not stupid.

He was still a student. Challenging a teacher here would only bring consequences he couldn't afford.

"…He's just a pebble on the roadside," Bakugō muttered, fists clenched tight.

The testing continued.

Grip Strength.

Lock activated the Steel Wrist enhancement magic and took first place effortlessly.

Second place went to Midoriya, who sacrificed the bones in his index finger and thumb to activate OFA.

Third was Mezō Shōji, whose duplicated arms gave him immense grip strength—yet still inferior to Midoriya's OFA and Lock's reinforced body.

Then came:

Standing long jump

Repeated side steps

Endurance run

Sit-and-reach

Sit-ups

Across every category, Lock dominated.

Dragon Slayer Magic had transformed his physique into something far beyond a normal human. Combined with training at a professional Hero level, the gap was overwhelming.

Only Todoroki Shouto managed to keep up—and even then, barely.

The result never changed.

Until the softball throw.

Lock demonstrated first.

Learning from his example, Class A went all out—everyone breaking conventional methods.

Kyōka Jirō used a coin and lightning magic, abusing electromagnetic principles in a completely unscientific way, firing a pseudo–railgun shot that sent the ball flying.

"Miss Cannon!"

Yaoyorozu Momo created an actual cannon with her Quirk and fired the softball like artillery.

And yet—

To everyone's shock, Lock was not in first place.

A petite girl with a round face stepped forward.

Uraraka Ochaco.

"Um… here goes!"

She threw the ball lightly—almost casually.

The strength looked insignificant.

And yet the softball continued to rise, higher and higher, until it became a bright point in the sky.

"Infinite…"

Aizawa, already knowing the outcome, calmly announced that Uraraka had surpassed Lock.

"What?!"

"Infinite?! That's impossible!"

"Newton is rolling in his grave!"

Except for Lock, the entire class was stunned.

Uraraka quickly explained, flustered, that her Quirk nullified gravity—making the result obvious in hindsight.

Thankfully, Newton was long dead.

Otherwise, science would have collapsed on the spot.

Aizawa looked over the class with his usual lifeless eyes and displayed the rankings.

"The results are simple. Total scores."

Some students swallowed nervously.

1st place: Lock

2nd place: Yaoyorozu Momo

3rd place: Todoroki Shouto

4th place: Jirō Kyōka

5th place: Midoriya Izuku

6th place: Bakugō Katsuki

"…Last place: Toru Hagakure."

Aizawa scanned around before locating the floating uniform.

Hagakure's invisibility Quirk made these tests especially cruel.

No one could see her expression—but it was easy to imagine.

Bakugō's face darkened further.

Losing to Lock was one thing.

But losing to Midoriya, too?

Unacceptable.

"Let's talk about class president conditions first," Aizawa said suddenly, deliberately changing the topic.

"Uraraka Ochaco surpassed Lock in softball throwing. From now on, you're Class 1-A's president."

He pointed casually at Uraraka.

She froze, face burning red.

"M-Me?! I—I don't think I'm qualified. I want to refuse."

"What?!"

The class erupted.

"Accepted," Aizawa said immediately.

In a Hero course, the class president was not just symbolic—it was the core of the class.

And not everyone was suited for it.

Uraraka understood that clearly.

Aizawa smiled faintly—calculating, as always.

Then his expression shifted again.

A devilish grin.

All eyes turned to him.

"Next… Toru Hagakure. As the last-ranked student, you—"
