As the woman in the expensive suit listened to her employee's excuses, the news about Kyo was still spreading all over the internet. Even though the article had already been removed from the website where it was first published, it had been reposted by countless other news outlets.

The public had split into three groups.

The group that agreed with Kyo's opinion, which was the largest.

The group that disagreed with Kyo's opinion and found him arrogant and downright foolish because of what he said.

And the group that was focused solely on his relationship with Miu, which was small but incredibly loud. Celebrity pages on Twitter were posting about it nonstop.

They were sharing a picture of Miu that had spread all over the internet.

People were making countless comments about her appearance.

[She's really pretty, isn't she? I'm sure that when she takes off her glasses, she turns into a real beauty!]

[Are you blind? She's way too done up! She looks weird. She looks like she doesn't shower every day. I'm sure she smells.]

Fortunately, most of the comments were positive.

[I think she's absolutely adorable.]

[Why is everyone so obsessed with her taking off her glasses??? Her glasses are charming. I'm sure she wouldn't look nearly as pretty without them! And why is nobody talking about her hair??? It's so beautiful!!!]

[You're right. Her hair is amazing!]

Miu had no idea that so many people were talking about her online. Not even Kyo had read all those comments. Even though the public was discussing it, the main focus was still his controversial remarks about the TV series in this world.

The posts about Kyo's comments were receiving countless likes. Kyo Evans' name was trending on Twitter.

The arguments in the comment sections were extremely heated.

But honestly, what drew the most attention were the posts made by several screenwriters and directors.

They were deeply offended.

[Who does Kyo Evans think he is? Didn't he just enter the industry? He has no right to say something like that! Someone needs to put him in his place!]

[I woke up this morning and saw the news about Kyo Evans. I'm very disappointed because I really enjoyed the first episode of "A Piece of My Heart." His acting was incredible. He should apologize as soon as possible.]

[Who does Kyo Evans think he is?]

[Kyo Evans is nobody. He's just a novel writer who got incredibly lucky because something he wrote became popular online. Does he really think he can write better than a professional screenwriter?]

Those were just a few of the posts.

Kyo Evans' fans were reading those posts and replying to them. Anyone speaking badly about Kyo Evans was immediately attacked by his fans. The fans of "Aoi Haruki" were doing everything they could to defend him.

Meanwhile, Kyo was in his office, writing.

He had no idea that this entire war was unfolding online. He was waiting for a message from Rina before making any public statement.

He yawned and stretched.

Suddenly, a notification appeared on his phone.

POV: Kyo

As soon as I picked up my phone, I noticed I had received a message from Rina.

[The article has already been taken down, and the full, unedited interview has now been published. You can make your statement now. You don't need to go into too much detail—just say whatever you think is necessary. But please, don't say anything unnecessary! Rikuya wanted me to write a script for you, but I told him I trust you. Don't make me lose my job.]

I smiled and replied.

[Now that the original interview has been published without any edits, I don't have much to worry about. I'll simply apologize for going a little overboard with my criticism. As for the rumors about me dating Miu, I won't comment on that.]

[In the unedited recording, you make it very clear that she's not your girlfriend, but you should still say something about it. Some people are saying some really awful things about her online.]

Reading Rina's message genuinely surprised me.

I opened Twitter and saw that my name was the number one trending topic. Miu's name, however, was ranked tenth. That's still a very high position.

Concerned, I tapped on her name.

I found countless posts claiming we were dating. Just as Rina had said, many people were making unnecessary comments about Miu. Most of them were criticizing her "messy" hair, her glasses, and her somewhat "melancholic" appearance.

Well, I couldn't deny that Miu might look "sad," considering how shy she was around other people. She opened up a lot whenever it was just the two of us, but around everyone else, she usually kept her head down and avoided making eye contact.

She had the aura of a "lonely otaku."

'Well, I can't deny that she really was exactly like that before we met.'

"That really pisses me off," I muttered.

"What pisses you off?" I suddenly heard Miu ask.

She got up and walked over to my computer. I didn't even think about hiding what was going on from her.

"They're talking about you online. The woman who interviewed me yesterday posted fake news saying we're dating. You probably shouldn't read the comments. People are saying some really nasty things."

"She said that? I haven't opened Twitter today, so I had no idea."

Contrary to what I expected, Miu seemed surprisingly calm.

"But the company has already dealt with it. That fake news is going to be debunked. The internet is a complete mess right now."

Miu picked up her phone and stared at the screen in disbelief.

"That woman!" she shouted angrily. "Who does she think she is?!"

"Calm down. We're already taking care of everything."

"How am I supposed to calm down?! She acted so friendly! That snake!"

This is exactly what I meant when I said that Miu was very expressive and completely let her guard down whenever she was with me.

I laughed.

"Could you leave the office for a few minutes? I need to record a few videos to post."

"No, I'm not leaving! I'll help you record them!"

"I really don't think that's a good idea. If anything leaks, people will figure out you're living in my house."

"Oh... right..."

Disappointed, Miu left my room.

I opened the recording software on my computer. I had a high-end camera, so there was no reason to record using my phone.

"Alright... here we go."

Without really caring about everything that was happening, I started speaking.
