When I read Rina's messages, I immediately started panicking. Yeah, it was the first time I had genuinely panicked because of one of Rina's messages. Her message said the following:

[Hey, did you see that someone uploaded an audio of you singing on YouTube!??? Everyone's talking about it! Where did they even get that audio from?]

Her message had been sent an hour ago, before I had even woken up to go to school at six in the morning. What the hell happened overnight? How could news like this become so huge during the middle of the night?

Shouldn't people be sleeping?

I quickly replied to Rina's message.

[I seriously have no idea how that was recorded. That's the song I composed for Aoi Hoshino! I sang it to create a demo to send to her, but somehow someone ended up recording it!]

Fortunately, the audio only captured my voice, not the actual beat of the song.

But the rhythm of the song could still be felt just from my singing.

As I listened to the audio, I took a look at the comments. More than five thousand comments, holy shit… Most of them were in Japanese, but there were comments in English and Korean too.

Many of the comments were from people who didn't even know me and were simply enchanted by my voice.

I sighed and replied to her.

[Sorry about this, I don't know how it happened. There's no recording device in my room, I'm sure of that. And my parents would never do something like this. It was probably some neighbor who recorded it.]

That was the only possibility.

[Don't worry, I don't want to enter that industry right now, that song is yours.]

I sighed and sent another message.

[I'm not going to school today. I'll finish the demo within the next two hours and send it to you. Ah, and I already registered the song under my name through JASRAC, so no one will be able to steal it. Fortunately, even though I'm underage, I can still do things like that.]

I stopped replying to Aoi's messages and washed my face. As I looked at myself in the mirror, I let out a long sigh.

I simply shrugged and decided to genuinely ignore it.

"Hmmm… They're praising the song lyrics and my voice a lot. They even want me to release a full version sung by me. But I'm not going to do that."

"I see…" My mother looked at me expectantly. "Are you planning to become a singer?"

I smiled at her and said, "Who knows?"
