Viona's POV
I took a deep breath before slowly letting it out, my eyes opening little by little. Today marked the third sunrise Rafael was still not beside me when I woke up since the day he left home.
I gritted my teeth as I shoved the blanket off my body. Driven mostly by irritation, I kicked the blanket away and sat up at the edge of the bed.
I kept telling myself to be considerate of his feelings and this silent treatment, but my patience was running dangerously low.
Until when?
For the past two days, I had practically wandered around the hospital waiting for him in his office, yet Rafael always managed to avoid me somehow.
Sudden surgeries. Board member meetings. Interviews with reporters. A million professional excuses that kept making the secretarial staff wear increasingly sympathetic expressions every time they informed me that Rafael still would not be returning to his office.
