Viona's POV
As for Roey… he was no longer crying or sniffling while holding back tears. But his face still looked gloomy, his head lowered with a dim, sorrowful gaze. Usually, he could get excited over the simplest children's fairy tale, yet now he showed no interest in the story I made up for them at all.
It seemed seeing Rafael so broken with his own eyes had broken him too.
This long, cold winter would probably swallow Roey's days as well.
And we needed to stay strong together to survive it.
"So… all my sweet cherry bombs, mommy's going to check on father now, alright?" I asked softly while kissing each of their cheeks one by one. "Just like the three of you, he might be scared and confused right now too. So you three need to take a shower first, then we'll have breakfast together later, okay?"
