The Energy slowly flew from the chaos crystal to his hand, Cane was surprised but he didn't stop there would've been nothing else he could do while remaining unharmed from the other 'Corpses'.
After a couple of minutes, Cane had in each of his hands transparent shard, he also felt better more energised. Thinking about what could have happened before.
Maybe Speedrunner did in fact give him a chaos crystal, but his body absorbed it while sleeping. It was a possibility, something he wished was true for the sake of his saviours image in his head.
But why could he absorb the energy, he asked himself more questions but he could come to one conclusions.
"I awakened," the young boy muttered
"I awakened!" the boy screamed, after those word left his mouth he began to cough feeling the strain in his throat.
'but how strong did I get?' After finishing that thought something appeared in front of him. That something is a blue screen.

Looking at the display, Cane was dumbfounded he couldn't believe what he saw. Reaching forward with his hand, the boy saw that his hand went through the blue screen.
The boy rubbed his eyes, after opening him the screen was still there, Cane was confused.
When he heard something from awakened about their powers, they never mentioned that a screen was popping up when they awakened.
Another point was that the small boy didn't feel any stronger, unlike awakened who got stronger than normal humans being able to achieve, but he didn't get stronger, he only felt more energised.
Before he could examine this strange screen further he heard some noise from the outside, hearing it come closer. Suddenly hearing a child talking.
"It's here Boss!"
After half a dozen seconds, the curtains at the entrance of his home got pulled up.
Revealing a tall man with olive skin and dark brown hair, wearing something similar like everybody else in the area, Dorian the self appointed boss of this disztrict. The man spoke, having a deep voice.
"So you are the boy who took my crystal."
Dorian took a couple of step, now standing in front of the sitting boy, towering over him. Seeing something crystal like in the boys hand, the man grabbed cane on his shirt almost ripping it apart.
Before the boy could answer he felt something heavy crashing into his abdomen. Before he could even register anything he was on the ground, his head ringing and his jaw hurting.
After coming to his senses, the small boy heard that the man orders his lackeys to kick the boy.
Hearing the order, Cane dropped the shards and curled his body into a ball, trying to protect him. His method to protect himself didn't help much, feeling his consciousness slip.
After a while the barrage of kicks stopped, surprising the boy. He heard how Dorian got closer picking something off the ground.
The tall man said something and got angry. Cane couldn't hear it, because of his condition. The man looked at the weak boy and delivered a powerful kick to Cane's abdomen, knocking his lights out.

Cane woke up, feeling that his head was slightly elevated and his body hurt.
After a couple of seconds the boy heard a familiar voice, belonging to neither man nor woman.
"Finally you're up, are you alright?"
The voice belonged to the awakened who helped him yesterday, Speedrunner.
Answering the worried streamers reaction the boy let out a noise.
He sat up seeing that he was still in his room, worriedly looking around the boy saw the shards were no longer there and his bag was lying on the ground open, revealing that there was nothing inside and that his head rested on top of a short sleeved coat with no buttons to close it.
The boy clicked his tongue, now looking at the fast streamer.
"Don't look at me like that, it was already like that when I arrived. Seems like they also too the chaos crystal I gave you. Ah, before I forget here take this"
Speedrunner threw a sandwich wrapped in a plastic wrap and a bottle of water to the small teen.
Cane hastily ate and drank the items speedrunner gave him, almost choking to which the helping awakens laughed.
While eating, the boy felt that his body began to hurt less, but that his hunger didn't go away.
While the boy was concentrated on eating, the streamer was watching him.
They were caught off guard, because of all the small bruises suddenly disappearing and the bigger ones getting smaller.
The streamer could only come to one conclusion:"Are you an awakened?"
Hearing the question the boy winced, the fast awakened was taken aback. Why would an awaken live in this ruined area in close danger.
Every awakened could just join the association and get a salary even if they are not able to fight.
"I don't know, I don't feel stronger and my legs are still hurt. What I know is that I automatically absorb the energy inside the crystal," Cane answered not knowing why he told this information to the streamer.
"Really, wait are you for real?"
The streamer grabbed a chaos Crystal from their pocket. And giving it to the hurt boy.
The Boy took the crystal and soon the energy began to slowly through the boy's arm into his body. While the energy slowly entered his body, the bruises also began to vanish.
The bruises were all healed but the energy still entered his body, looking a dumbfounded expression was shown on the streamers mask.
Speedrunner got closer kneeling down, they grabbed the boy on the shoulder, looking face to face.
"That is amazing, you can heal your wounds in a matter of seconds."
While talking the streamer noted that the boy wasn't all skins and bones, but also a bit of muscle unlike yesterday; Albeit a small difference it was better than yesterday.
"I have a question I want to ask, can I?" the boy asked.
"You may, newbie."
Cane looked at the Person who named him and asked.
"How did you realise that you awakened."
