Kito was sitting at the end of the boat, and Rin was in front of him. Both of them were upset. Suddenly, the boat started shaking and began to move faster downhill. It was so fast that they had to hold on tightly to avoid being thrown off. There were multiple rocks in their path, and Rin and Kito tried to steer clear of them, but the boat was beginning to break apart. Then, it hit a rock and flipped into the air. All their food fell into the water, but everyone managed to hang on. The boat shook again, and Kito slipped, almost falling off. In a moment of shock, he closed his eyes, but someone gripped his hand tightly. When he opened his eyes, he saw Rin holding on to him. Others helped them get a better grip. In their panic, they forgot to steer the boat, and it hit another rock, shattering into pieces.
Everyone was in the river, struggling to breathe because of the strong current. Rin was fighting to stay afloat as he began to drown, but he managed to get a grip on the riverbank. He noticed Alex nearby; she was struggling and not very good at swimming. Rin swam toward her, grabbed hold of her, and then both of them made their way to the side and climbed out of the water.
Everyone came out of the water. Sam was injured when the wood from the boat pierced his abdomen.
Kito asked, "Sam! Are you ok?"
Sam smiled and replied, "I am ok."
Rin spoke, "That's hell of an experience." he laughed.
The other started laughing too.
They hailed Kito with their last healing pack.
Kito and Shina were helping Sam, the other went to search for monsters to slay for food.
Alex was running, and monsters were running after her.
Daniel and others sneaked behind the monster, killing one each.
They carefully extracted the meat and made their way to the camp, where they set up for the night. As the warmth of the fire crackled around them, they gathered in a cosy circle, eagerly heating the meat for dinner. Breaking the comfortable silence, Sam chuckled, "Remember that time a girl proposed to Rin? She practically ran away when Rin shot her that death glare!" Shina burst into laughter, her eyes sparkling with the memory. "Oh, I remember that! It was priceless! I even recorded it on my phone, but sadly, I lost it in the crash." Rin pretended to cough, trying to stifle a smile. "I wasn't glaring! It was the sun, squinting my eyes a little," he replied, then added with a grin, "But speaking of memorable moments, what about Alex and the school explosion?" Alex raised an eyebrow, defending herself, "Hey, that was Kito's fault for giving me the wrong materials!"Kito shrugged with a playful grin, "In my defence, you were just mumbling some name! I had no idea what you meant!"
Daniel chuckled, "Remember that time I pranked all of you during the costume play day? You all showed up in the most ridiculous outfits! Best day of my life!" Rin grinned, "And then we spent the whole day chasing after you!" Daniel laughed heartily, "How could I forget? You definitely gave me a run for my money!" Meanwhile, Yuri, who had been skirting the edges of the group, felt a bit isolated from the laughter and teasing. Shina chimed in, "Oh! And remember when Yuri got stuck in the maze? She was terrified! She ended up hugging me for dear life!" The group erupted in laughter. Sam looked on and said, "You may act tough, but deep down, you're really just a big softie." Yuri looked up, her eyes sparkling with tears as a smile spread across her face. Daniel noticed and said, "Hey! What's wrong? Why are you crying? Don't let them pick on you!" Yuri shook her head, still smiling, "No, no! These are tears of happiness!"
Yuri chuckled as she recalled, "The first time Rin and I met, he called me an old hag!" Rin cleared his throat, a flush creeping up his cheeks. "Well, let's just say I'm not exactly a master of trash talk!"
Kito smiled, "Yes, once a bully from school picked on me. Rin intervened to confront him and seriously called him a peanut head as trash talk. I couldn't handle the laughter."
As they talked and talked about them and fell asleep.
