Chapter 50 - Nacht noes nothing.

Epicurus maintained composure, but his instincts raged like a wild animal.

It was as he feared. It's going to be a 2 versus one.

Epicurus looked at Mr. N and saw Solomon behind him, then looked up at the medics pinned to the wall, spears driven through their chests. He broke eye contact like a guilty child, wiping his face. "It's nice to see you again, N," he whispered before thinking, at least it's not a 6 versus 1.

Aspera's Lieutenants were effectively out of commission due to fear. And Solomon's lieutenants were too scared to fight him; he could tell.

Mr. N tilted his head and put his hands in his pockets, staring him down without saying a single word.

"What," Mr. N finally asked, voice low and almost curious, "What do you think is the most efficient method of human meat consumption?"

The question hung in the air.

Epicurus, annoyed, thought, "Threatening me with Dreyfus? Here he goes again with the schizophrenic bullshit. Konopleva warned me about this--"

His thought disappeared in his mind as Epicurus started seeing inverted colors.

He jumped back immediately. He wasn't close to Mr. N; there was no possible way he was already in his range.

Epicurus's pupils reflected the light of words in front of him.

"Cannibal. A Man Eater."

Words that appeared in front of him?

Epicurus blinked. The moment he opened his eyes, he was in a completely different dimension.

And seeing this opening, Solomon attacked, the knives from his jacket multiplied as they threw them with dangerous precision.

gg.

Epicurus smelled burning flesh as his stomach twisted. He looked up and saw himself being sacrificed, a giant stone tablet crushing his chest in the middle of a grassy plane.

He felt the weight bearing down on his chest.

Epicurus turned around to avoid looking, closing his eyes. But closing them only brought him deeper into the void, as he saw vivid images of his already dead brother rotting.

His heart jumped out of his chest.

Emotions flaring, he cracked a wide, nervous smile.

Instinctively, he already caught the throwing knives that Solomon threw when Mr. N took control of his mind.

But he wasn't focused on that, his face contorting into a terrifying image, he was in disbelief that Mr. N had just shown him an image of his dead brother, his eyes burnt crimson.

He's never felt this disrespected in his entire life.

But this was what Mr. N wanted.

Solomon got ready to attack once more. He was one of the 5 most lethal killers in the Org at close range.

But even Mr. N told him to stop.

And his intuition was right.

Epicurus bit his lip as he snapped out of the vision.

Quickly, he inhaled a special gas from the handle of his weapon.

The burn hit instantly, scouring through his veins. He slouched with bad posture, his crown falling off his head. He looked like a zombie.

The visions snapped apart, his mind clearing in a violent rush, leaving him razor sharp and hyperfocused.

He instantly pulled out a metal pole as it extended into a spear. Solomon felt chills. Epicurus's life force just doubled.... again?

Mr. N stood alert as he jumped back, hands out of his pockets. "Is he awakening his core node? There's no chance an Elite Guard ranked below 2 knows eXtension, right?"
