The footsteps was getting closer and closer till, suddenly, it was silent.
_I-it... stopped_
Suddenly, a giant spider pounced on the silver knight and sunk it's fangs through his armour, it's maw leaked out purple liquid and the knights body slowly melted as he screamed in anguish.
The knights quickly attacked the spider but suddenly, it was gone.
One of the teenage miner who was beside Bell, started screaming, Bell turned to him and noticed a string was holding his neck and forcefully pulling him upward, but before Bell could rush to his rescue, his body was split into two, blood rained on Bell as he ran past his body with an attempt to save him.
"Argh~!" A younger knight exclaimed as a giant spider landed on him and tore him into pieces.
Another giant spider appeared and tore through the knights with ease, the miners began to freak out again and began to push each other down the abyss as everyone struggles to hide behind others.
Bell quickly grabbed his dagger but didn't move. He wanted to lay low, even though he wanted, he didn't want to accept the quest, but it was either he sacrifice his life trying to protect the miners or stand cowardly and die anyways.
Some enough, all the knights were dead, leaving Bell and about fifteen miners with three giant spider monsters. Bell wanted to move but he couldn't, he looked down at his legs and noticed that they were shaking.
"Stay back, I'll take care of them" A voice from the crowd spoke up and they hurriedly opened a way for him to the front. The man walked past Bell and tapped his shoulder before picking up one of the knight's sword. "As an adventurer, it's my job to kill monsters."
The heavily built man pointed the sword at the monster. "Come at me!"
One of the giant spiders immediately dashed at the former adventurer with top speed. Bell didn't know if it was because he blinked the same time the monster attacked or it was just moving too fast for him to see but before the heavily built adventurer could swing the sword, his arm was already flying in the air.
"Arghhhh~!" The adventurer dropped on the ground and held his severed bleeding arm.
The spider stopped in front of the adventurer, it's maw wide open, purple acid dropping from it. The adventurer tried to move back but he wasn't moving fast enough, little drops of purple acid dropped on him, burning holes through his legs.
He screamed in pain and he struggles to escape, everyone watched him, including Bell, feeling too powerless to help.
As soon as it's opened it maw, Bell jumped in front of it and blocked it's fangs using his dagger.
"Quickly, someone get him to safety!" He turned and yelled at the crowd while trying to hold the spider.
At first, nobody answered then a man that looked about seventy ran up to the adventurer and tried to pull him back before another man, much younger than the adventurer ran to him and helped pulled the adventurer into the crowd.
Bell couldn't hold the spider any longer as it began to shake it's head and threw him against the wall, he crashed on the wall and landed on the ground. His body weakened from the mining and running, and his dagger broke as he tried to block the spider attack.

Bell was sure he couldn't kill the monsters in current condition, and he didn't even carry the potion which he had gotten from the goblin or equip the leader tunic. But he had never thought he would have to fight another monster.
_Damnit!, Why does this world have to be so unfair to me?!!!_
If he decides to try to protect the miners long enough for help to arrive, he wasn't even sure what he would get from the system.
Who was he kidding?. He didn't even have a weapon to fight with and they are still three more spider to deal with, but lucky for him, they were best feeding on the people that they had already killed, so currently, he has only one spider to worry about.
Bell just hope they will keep on eating till help arrive.
The giant spider walked slowly to Bell and raised one of it's legs above him, his body was still weak so he couldn't move.
_Damnit, this was not what I bargained for. Being reincarnated into another world just to die in a mine to a giant spider_ Bell didn't realise the tears flowing from his eyes. "I was a loser in my last life, I will not be a loser in this one. Get up!, Get up, damn it!"
Bell raised the broken piece of his dagger and stabbed his leg.
*SHRIEK~!!!*
The spider stumbled backwards before falling to the ground created an explosion that made the tunnel tremble, crumbled rocks fell on the spider, but it wasn't enough to cause any serious damage to the spider.
The giant spider stood up as it looked around to find who just attacked it but couldn't, suddenly, a rapier was stabbed into the spider's eyes.
Bell looked up to see who it was.
"D...Daria!?"
Her armour was a lightweight alloy, its silver surface polished to a mirror sheen. The black detailing traced the edges of each plate, the custom-fitted breastplate, her short battle skirt and the vibrant blue star-stamped boots. It was Daria, but, how did she get here?
**SHRIEK!!!!!**
She pulled out her rapier and stabbed the second eyes and then the third eye, but before she could stab the forth eye, the second spider jumped on the first one, in an attempt to bite Daria. She immediately jumped off the spider, letting the second spider to mistakenly sink it's fangs into the first spider.
*SHRIEK!!!*
The first spider shrieked even louder as it struggles to escape it's partner's grip. The miners covered their ears using their hands, including Bell who was still weakened as the tunnel crumbled down on the giant spiders.
"Are you okay?" Daria finally spoke after she landed gracefully on her feet.
Bell let out a sigh of relief and so did most of the miners, finally, they have been saved.
