Jay's POV:
After the late-night party, we all went home. Keifer dropped me off at my house because Kuya told him to.
I woke up late since my exams were finally over.
I checked the date.
28 May...
Fuck... tomorrow is my birthday. I'm so excited!
I had never been this happy about my birthday before. I always cried because Mom wasn't with me, but now Mom is here... and I'm a mom too.
I looked at Jeenie, who was sleeping peacefully while hugging me.
I caressed her hair and took her into my arms.
"Wake up, baby," I said.
She nuzzled into my chest.
She is just like Keifer.
"Baby, wake up," I said again.
She slowly opened her eyes. I expected her to cry, but to my surprise, she didn't.
She smiled and touched my cheek.
"My baby is in a good mood," I said, kissing her.
She giggled.
Just then, my phone buzzed.
"See? Daddy is calling," I said as I picked up the call. It's a veido call
"Good morning, Jay... good morning, baby," he said.
Jeenie snatched the phone and kissed the screen.
I took the phone back.
"She just kissed the screen," I said.
We both laughed and talked for a while.
After that, we went downstairs and had breakfast.
I expected them to talk about my birthday since it was going to be my 18th birthday, but they didn't mention it at all.
"Mm... Kuya, what's the date today?" I asked.
"Mm... 28," he replied and continued eating.
I rolled my eyes and continued eating my breakfast.
My whole day passed like this... playing with Jeenie, talking about stupid things with Section E... and I started thinking that they had all forgotten my birthday.
I glanced at the clock.
It was already 11:59 PM.
"Jeenie... no one remembers Mama's birthday," I said.
She looked at me with teary eyes.
"Why are you crying?" I asked.
Just then, my eyes landed on the clock.
12:00 AM.
My phone buzzed.
I looked at the screen.
Keifer.
I knew it.
"Happy birthday to youuuu, my dear wifeyyy!" he sang.
I laughed.
"You remembered," I said.
"Of course, baby."
"Baby, we're meeting tomorrow, right?" I asked.
"Baby, I'm so sorry. I have such an urgent meeting tomorrow. As you know, I'm the CEO now and I have huge responsibilities. I'm really sorry, but enjoy your day with your family and friends, okay?" he said.
Before I could say anything, someone knocked on the door.
"Keifer, I'll talk to you later. Someone's at the door. Bye," I said before ending the call.
I opened the door and gasped.
Standing there were Tita, Aries, Kuya, Lola, and Mom.
My eyes stopped on Mom.
She was finally here on my birthday.
"Happy Birthday!" they all cheered together.
I laughed and quickly hugged Mom.
My tears wouldn't stop as I held her tightly.
"I'm here, Jay," she whispered.
Just then, I felt something holding onto my legs.
I broke the hug and looked down.
Jeenie was sitting there, holding my pajama tightly.
"Mama," she said with teary eyes.
I scooped her up, and she kissed my cheeks—more like she was eating them.
"Are you wishing Mama?" I asked.
She nodded.
We all laughed.
I hugged everyone.
"Now go to sleep. It's late," Kuya said.
I nodded.
Once again, everyone wished me before leaving.
I laid Jeenie down and picked up my phone.
It was filled with birthday messages.
I decided to thank everyone tomorrow, so I went to sleep too.

I woke up feeling excited.
I freshened up and got Jeenie ready for daycare.
Then I replied to everyone who had wished me.
Then I saw Ella's message.
Wow... she wished me too.

I thanked her.
I still couldn't believe she wished me.
I waited the whole day for a message from Keifer.
I knew he had told me he was busy, but it still hurt because this was my first birthday with him.
My whole day passed like that.
In the evening, someone gently knocked on my door.
"Miss Jay, please wear this and get inside the car outside," she said.
"What? Who gave this? And where is everyone... and Jeenie?" I asked.
"I don't know," she replied before closing the door.
I changed into the outfit and got ready.
When I stepped outside, I saw a beautiful car.
The driver started driving.
I kept asking him where we were going, but he didn't answer.
Soon, we stopped at a huge venue.
It was beautifully decorated.
The driver opened the door for me.
I stepped out.
Oh... they planned this.
I entered inside.
The lights were off.
As I reached the center...
The lights suddenly turned on.
"Happy Birthday!" everyone shouted.
I looked around.
Everyone was here.
My family...
Section E...
Even my ugly brother, Percy.
My eyes searched for Keifer, but he wasn't there.
Instead, I saw his brothers.
"Thank you... Where's Keifer?" I asked.
"Wow, Jay. You didn't even notice us. You're already missing him," Ci-N teased.
Everyone burst into laughter.
"Kuya got an urgent meeting. He told us to say sorry to you. He said he'll make it up to you," Kerein said.
I nodded.
Why does it hurt so much...?
"Missing someone?"
A voice came from behind.
The lights went off again.
Then a man walked in...
Wearing a perfectly fitted suit.
Keifer.
He walked toward me and knelt down.
I just stared at him with wide eyes.
"Happy Birthday, love. Thank you so much for coming into my life and making it beautiful. Thank you so much, love. Today, in front of everyone, I'm asking for your hand. Will you stay with me forever? Will you accept me as your life partner? Will you marry me?" he asked.
I covered my mouth in shock.
"Keifer..." I whispered.
Then I looked around.
Everyone was smiling and nodding.
I looked at Kuya.
He had his usual bored expression...
But he nodded.
I chuckled through my tears and nodded back.
"Yes," I said.
He smiled and slipped a beautiful ring onto my finger.
As soon as he did...
The lights turned back on.
Everyone cheered.
Just then, I looked behind him and saw Jeenie standing there with her arms crossed, pouting.
"Keif... you're in trouble," I said.
He looked behind him.
"No. I came prepared."
He stood up.
He walked toward Jeenie and knelt down in front of her.
Everyone gasped.
"Baby, show me your hand," he said.
He gently took her tiny hand and slipped a small ring onto her finger.
It looked almost the same as mine.
"Yayyy!" Jeenie jumped happily and hugged Keifer.
He scooped her up before wrapping one arm around me.
"Kerein... Kegain..." I called.
They both hesitated before walking toward us.
The five of us shared a family hug.
"Now it's cake-cutting time!" Eman said as he came out carrying a huge cake.
We all cheered as I stood in front of it.
I closed my eyes and made a wish.
"I hope we all stay this happy forever..."
I silently prayed before blowing out the candles.
Everyone clapped.
I cut the cake.
First, I fed Jeenie.
She didn't eat much—she only tasted a little cream.
Then I fed Keifer...
Then my family.
One by one, everyone fed me cake.
"Happy Birthday, Jay... welcome to the family," Kegain said.
I smiled nervously.
I knew he didn't like me...
But I would talk to him.
We all enjoyed ourselves and ate a lot.
Just then, while everyone was busy, Keifer grabbed my arm and pulled me aside.
"Keif..." I started.
I stopped when I saw Aries and Percy too.
We all walked outside together.
Soon, we stopped in the garden.
"Why are we here?" I asked.
They all stepped back.
"Jay... turn around," Keifer said.
I turned around...
And froze.
I couldn't believe my eyes.
Standing there...
Was my dad.
My hands and legs started shaking.
"Pa... Papa..." I whispered.
His eyes filled with tears.
He opened his arms.
I quickly ran into them.
"Happy 18th birthday, Princess," he said.
I burst into tears.
"Papa... I missed you so much," I cried, hugging him tighter.
"I missed you too, Princess. That's why I came here," Dad said.
Just then—
"What the fuck are you doing here?!"
I turned around and saw Mom.
There was anger burning in her eyes.
Beside her stood Kuya.
"What the..." he muttered.
