Rosalind's smile slowly began to disappear when she heard that. She suddenly looked guarded, and her outgoing demeanor began to fade.
Seeing her hesitation, Aika sighed. She leaned forward a bit and feigned a sullen look.
"I have a child, you know," she began in a somber voice. "When I was last with her, she was…" She raised her hand to the level of the girl's head. "…around your age. Her name is Tomika."
Aika smiled softly. "Your curious blue eyes remind me of her."
Rosalind slowly lifted her gaze back to Aika.
Aika continued. "One secret about us from the Outer Realm is that we do not age like other humans. We age rather slowly. Regardless, it's been so many years since I last saw my Tomika. I'm sure that by now, she must have grown into a fine woman. She must have found someone she likes, settled down, and built a life."
