Chapter 43 - Chapter Forty-Three: The Silent Mole

Third Person's POV

Silent Hill Mansion, Second Floor

Alexander took a slow breath as he stepped forward, his fingers clasped behind him, his gaze fixed on Zero Veil. She met his eyes without fear, calm and unreadable, while behind him Sebastian stood stiff, the tension in his shoulders clear.

Zero Veil turned slightly in her chair, her fingers moving across the keyboard before she spoke. "They don't operate randomly," she said, her voice steady. "The Five Foes organization follows a pattern. Hidden… but consistent. I tracked their signal trails, and I found a loophole."

She turned the screen toward him.

Alexander stepped closer, his eyes scanning the data without a word. Lines of code, maps, signals… everything layered carefully. The room fell into silence.

"Does the name look familiar?" Zero Veil asked, breaking it.

Alexander didn't answer immediately. His gaze remained on the screen for a second longer before he straightened.

"You've earned your paycheck."

He reached into his coat, pulled out a signed transfer slip, and handed it to her.

"Two million farqus."

Her lips curved into a small smile as she took it.

Then Alexander leaned slightly closer, his voice dropping into a whisper only she could hear.

Her expression didn't change, but her eyes sharpened.

He stepped back.

"If you complete this second job," he said, now loud enough for everyone, "I'll double it."

Zero Veil nodded once, then went back to typing on her computer while Alexander turned and walked out, Sebastian following immediately.

On the Way, Hallway

They walked in silence for a few seconds before Alexander spoke.

"Tell Stone to report to the safe house," he said. "He's to take new pistols. Elena needs better protection."

"Yes, master," Sebastian replied.

Alexander brought out his phone, his fingers moving quickly across the screen, precise and fast. Within seconds, the phone dinged.

A faint smirk appeared on his lips.

Then it was gone.

Safe House

The room was very quiet. Two burly men stood at the side, still and watchful.

Alexander stood at the table, calmly checking weapons. He unloaded one, inspected it, then reached for another. His movements were slow but deliberate.

He picked up a black pistol.

It was sleek and dark.

"This one will do," he said.

He dropped it back on the table and turned to Sebastian.

For a moment, he said nothing.

"Will you always serve me faithfully?", Alexander asked gravely.

Sebastian straightened. "Yes, master."

Alexander nodded slightly.

"And loyally?"

"Yes, master. Without question."

Alexander stepped closer and placed both hands on Sebastian's shoulders. His grip was firm.

"Don't ever betray me, Sebastian."

Sebastian held his gaze. "My life belongs to you."

Alexander stared at him for a second longer before letting go.

A few minutes later, the door opened.

Stone walked in. His steps were calm. His expression was unreadable.

Alexander gestured slightly.

"Come."

Stone moved closer.

"Check the guns," Alexander said. "I believe that one will serve you well."

Stone picked up the black pistol and examined it quietly.

Then suddenly, Alexander moved without warning. His leg came up sharply and struck Stone across the face.

Stone staggered back, dropping the gun.

Before he could recover, the two burly men rushed him. They attacked together, their fists landing hard as they forced him down.

Stone fought back fiercely. His movements were sharp and controlled.

But they overpowered him and pinned him down.

Sebastian stepped back, confusion flashing across his face, but he didn't move against his master.

Alexander walked forward calmly. He kicked the black gun into the air and caught it smoothly.

Then he stopped in front of Stone.

"You really live up to your reputation," he said quietly. "The silent mole."

Sebastian's eyes widened. The realization hit him instantly. His hand moved to his gun, pulling it out and pointing it straight at Stone.

Stone laughed. It was low at first, then it grew louder.

"You finally see it," he said, blood at the corner of his lips. "Master… or should I say…"

His eyes locked onto Alexander's as a slow smile spread across his lips.

"Mr Blackwood."
