"Wow." Kaminari dropped his bag. The rest of the class looked in mild wonder. This place was small by city comparison, sure, but it was THEIRS. They owned an agency! They were heroes right here and now! "So this is what the future looks like for us?"
"I'd prefer something with a little more space, but yes, I can foresee the two of us having something similar." Momo wrapped her arm around his shoulder. These were the moments where he loved the height difference.
"We should unpack, then set up roles and make sure to use everyone to their best ability!" Iida shouted out.
Bakugo walked over to a spot on the floor, gave it a once over, then plopped down with his bag, pulling out a magazine. "Unless a villain attacks, I'm not doing jack shit."
"Oh come on, don't be like that, Bro." Kirishima tried to get the asshole off his butt. "We all need to do our part here."
"Let's be honest." Sero stated. "Do we trust Bakugo around civilians in a non combat scenario?" The silence was telling as it was, even as the man looked seconds away from murdering the tape user on the spot.
"Fair point, but we're not going to let you sit around all day doing nothing, so you're on permanent phone duty until a villain attack or the like happens." The class president ordered.
"Fine, at least I'll get a notice this time." The boy muttered.
"I'll be on phone duty too." Jiro stated. "I can use my quirk to hear things on the line."
"Oh, you can plug into the phones?" Iruma asked.
"I can, but only if they have a jack port." She looked over the phone in question. "Which means nothing for a 1960s phone line."
"I'll be in the woods rounding up my new citizens." Koji started walking outside. "And I want to have a good impression, so Iruma, don't hunt down any animals if you can."
"Okay, I'll just stick by the beach then." The boy muttered. "They have a lot of stalls there right?"
"As a member of Danger Patrol, Uraraka, Todoroki, and myself shall switch positions in looking over Suzuki whenever he goes out on his own." Iida called out. Hagakure coughed. "And Hagakure as well, sorry I was busy looking at our rations. We need a supply run."
"I'm on it." Sato called out. "Just need to check our budget." He opened the small safe they were given a combination to earlier, looking at a single IOU. "... Momo?"
"I brought my credit card, so we'll be covered for an entire month if need be." He sometimes forgot he had a rich girlfriend. She really had it all.
"Okay everyone, remember the ground rules!" Iida stated. "Help anyone in need, let the group know before you rest, and double check our problem children when around them." The man made not so subtle glances to Iruma, Minoru, Bakugo, and Hagakure.
"Why am I on the list?" The latter shrieked.
"You're half likely to stab any woman that flirts with Suzuki."
"It's not like you have to worry about that. No girl has ever flirted with me before." Uraraka and Hagakure looked like seconds away from hugging or strangling the aforementioned boy, it was hard to tell.

"So Ojiro." Mineta asked. "How does it feel to be on patrol? I don't really remember if you did it during your internship."
"It was mainly focused on increasing tail strength, so there wasn't enough time." The class' plain boy sighed. "To be honest, I'm surprised I've managed to get this far in class without getting on the chopping block."
"You're like a jack of all trades." Mineta stated. "You're not naive enough to get on Iruma's level, dumb enough to get on Denki's level, straight laced enough to get on Iida or Todoroki's level, angry enough to get on Bakugo's level, weak enough to get on Sero's level, or distracted enough to get on Mina's level." Any more and they'd be there all day. "There's nothing to tease you about other than boring but practical."
"So out of everyone in class, I'm the most normal person in 1-A?" He looked at the sky thoughtfully. "Coming from a class of crazies, I don't know whether or not that's a compliment or an insult."
"Who knows, maybe you'll snap like Tsu." The woman was in a very scary place right now. "But now we get to focus on taking out creeps that get too handsy with women." He smirked.
"Why would you, of all people care about-right, making yourself look good?" The boy deadpanned. "Maybe I should just make bets and predict the class behavior."
"Piece of advice, bet on Iruma to gain another bullshit op power. I'm placing five hundred on him flying."
"I'll pick a smokescreen quirk." He raised an eyebrow. "Good for distracting, and he makes camp fires." He shrugged. "Hey where is Iruma, he was supposed to be on the beach right?"
"Someone asked him to please help him wrestle their bear back into a cage." Mineta sighed. "You think he's gonna be a sub when he finally gets laid?"
"Not exactly what I want to picture right now….but all the girls that like him are overly cheery. They'd probably let him take control and he'd get confused on what to do." With Denki gaining his own harem, he needed another single guy to talk about stuff like this. "Look alive, two girls are in trouble."
"On it!" He shouted, running up to the man in question. "Grape Rush!" He threw them straight at the man's feet, locking him in place. "You're saved."
"Thank you!" They were running at him with open arms. Truly, this was his day-they ran right past him and to his patrolling partner. "You saved us, hero!" Life was an unfair bitch, it truly was.

"I'm telling you unless your life is in danger, your broken tracktor can go fuck off!" Kirishima watched as Bakugo slammed the phone down angrily. Maybe it was a stretch to assume Bakugo would be calm in any situation.
"I'll go to the tractor…again." Kaminari rolled his eyes. "Seriously, he should just get another engine for the old thing. This is the fifth time in two days."
"I understand ma'am, we'll send over someone right away." At least Todoroki seemed on point. "A woman claims to need a young male to help her fix a broken heart. Does anyone here know about surgery?" Right, forgot he could be Iruma level oblivious at times.
"I'll go. I'll make sure to get it in working order." Tsu spoke while cracking her knuckles as she walked out. No soul was brave enough to stop the young hero.
"It seems one of the island's honored elders' scooters has stopped functioning." Iida rushed to the door. "I shall carry her to her chosen destination."
"You know, when they said calm situations, I expected house fires and cats in trees." Kirishima stated. "Not … handymen."
"It seems heroes in small areas take it upon themselves to help in any way they can." Shoji spoke, coming back from finding a child in the woods. "Sometimes it can be big or small, like learning a child was in a bedroom the entire time as you waste a whole day out in the forest."
"Yeah, it's weird that Iruma-kun's first guess ended up being right." Hagakure sighed a little. "I'm so conflicted about this. He's helping a lot of people, but everyone on the island keeps saying please." Yeah, the brainwashed doormat thing was still a problem.
"It's no problem. It's just like my old life." Iruma himself spoke, coming back in. "Except this time people smile in happiness more, I get treats if I do a good job, and I get to sleep in a bed." He extended his most recent power of black tendrils. "And this time I've got help."
"The inner darkness of one's self can be your greatest ally if you can master it." Tokoyami observed. "It's like yin and yang, such a bright soul anchored to the void."
"Actually he acts more like Dark Shadow." The tendrils high fived the bird like quirk.
"I have a best buddy, someone who understands me fully." The shadow nodded. "Let's draw markers on a sleeping Aoyama." Hopefully the second eldritch abomination didn't seek to chew on anyone's heads.
"Great, two annoying shadows." Tokoyami muttered. "As if my life couldn't get any more annoying."
"Can't you ask your folks to find him?" Bakugo rolled his eyes, answering another phone call. "Who the fuck leaves two kids on their own without superversion?" Iruma, Todoroki, Ochaco, and Mineta all raised their hands. "… Fuck it, let's go Dodger."
"You're going to hang out with kids?" Todoroki asked.
"If I have to answer another phone call about missing dentures, I'm gonna snap someone's neck." The usual threat almost made him miss the part where Bakugo willingly chose to work with Iruma. The progress was subtle but growing.
"Alright, we will check their house first." Iruma readied his gear. "If he's not there, then he'll probably be somewhere fun and high up." And Iruma, the most mentally troubled kid in class, was here being the prodigy of child interaction. Sad, but at least someone was.

Momo was currently working with Denki on fixing the same broken old tractor. "I'm surprised you know how to do this." She stated, making another wrench to replace the rusty and broken one.
"It was a small hobby I had when I was younger." Her boyfriend answered with wires in his teeth. "My dad works with engines and batteries. He was going to expand himself past a small shop, but he doesn't have any business sense."
"That is quite a hurdle to overcome with most starting businesses." The girl nodded understandingly. "It took my parents around five years to make the right connections."
"He didn't comprehend what a loan was." He deadpanned. Ouch, that was painful to hear. "According to my mom, I took her looks and his brains." Right, his intelligence was a sore subject he was working to get past.
"I mean you've gotten better." Their tag along, Kyoka, shrugged. "You actually managed to one up Mina and Aoyama. You even tied with Sero last time."
"Yeah, I'm glad about it. Just wish mom would stop bringing up my screw-ups so much." He rolled his eyes as he crossed the wires together. "Part of me chose to be a hero hoping she'd finally stop. Now half the time she keeps telling me to not screw up my first relationship."
"I don't think you have to worry about that any time soon." She made a replacement bolt as she gave him a quick kiss. "I'll be sure to tell you if you make a mistake, which you haven't made yet."
"And I'm a secondary choice." Oh right … the confession. She'd be more mad if it wasn't directed at the both of them. And then there was Pony! What was with people getting crushes on both of them!?
"You've been weirdly cool about everything since the cultural festival." Denki pointed out. "Not that I'm not flattered, but isn't it a bit strange?"
"A little, but ever since I've let it out, I've been so much less stressed. Now I don't have to hide in my room whenever you two sit together." Kyoka shrugged with a small smile. "I can just plop myself right in the middle of both of you and enjoy the warmth."
"We'll, I mean." She blushed. "I wouldn't say it's just that simple."
"Of course it is, you heard Iruma. Life is short, enjoy it. Hedonism and all that jazz." The girl shrugged. "I can just imagine how easier it would have been if I went on with this earlier. Might have made it to your guy's bedroom."
Denki twisted something violently as the tractor began to spark and rumble. "You're far from Toru and Mineta, but that's still a bit closer to the edge than you should be."
"What, it's not like I'm breaking into your room to watch you cuddle in your sleep." She shrugged. "And it's nothing more intimate than what already happens."
"… What does that mean?" He asked slowly.
"I can hear sex in the 1-B dorms." …And U.A. calls 1-A the crazy class!? "Also did you know out of everyone in 1-A, Bakugo is the one that wakes up the most in a cold sweat?"
"Wait…you mean…Bakugo and Setsuna…actually….?!" Momo blushed.
"No, as in like, waking up from nightmares." She clarified. "Iruma comes in second, but he usually just mutters about ghosts." Again, that was probably because Toru hugged him in his sleep. "Bakugo's is mostly about that Deku guy he keeps mentioning. Guess it was someone he bullied a lot, because he keeps saying sorry."
"Ejiro mentioned something about that. Apparently he was a worse jackass than he was before." How was Bakugo WORSE!? "Glad to see he actually has remorse … so we may wanna run."
"Why should…?" Momo began to ask, before seeing the machine they were working on beginning to shake and spark. "How…?"
"I messed up a wire, this thing has been set to explode for the last five minutes." He grabbed her arm. "Let's get moving!" Well it was the most exciting thing that's happened all week … so that's something to take her mind off the conversation.

Mahoro glared as she looked at the coast. "Dad didn't come home yesterday …" She muttered. "He's ditching us for work again."
"Well it's his job. He needs it to get food and stuff." Her younger Katsuma shyly responded.
"Yeah, but he could at least get a job that isn't off the Island. Now we have to get babysat by dumb and stupid heroes." She frowned.
"What are you talking about, heroes are the coolest!" Her brother smiled. "They risk it all to save others with a smile." Ugh, her brother was already reaching annoying fanboy levels.
"Maybe if it was someone like All Might, I wouldn't say that, but we don't even have real pros! It's just a bunch of older kids acting like their adults. And risking your life is stupid. You need to concern yourself first and foremost." The main reason she hated heroes, it made her brother act stupid.
"But if I learn to take care of others, I'll be able to take care of myself fine. Learning to beat up bad guys protects both me and other people." Not with a support quirk.
"Hello, any little children out here!? We have candy and fun games!"
"How are you the one we allow children around?"
"I don't know. Everyone keeps saying I understand people my age 'mentality-wise'."
Great, now some weirdos were nearby. "Katsuma, stay behind me." She muttered. "I'm gonna scare them off." She began building up power, waited a bit for the shadows to appear, and then formed a giant mantis man! Surely that would scare them off.
"Huh, giant bug." The one with a wolf costume just kept walking towards her illusion like it wasn't there. "It's cool, it won't hurt us." WHAT?!
"Obviously." The blonde one with grenades on his arms sent an explosion towards the head, which didn't do a thing.
"It's an intangible bug!? Did it steal Mirio-senpai's quirk?"
"No you moron, it's an illusion." The bomb guy then got on the ground and blasted it, knocking her on her butt and destroying the image. "Which means there's some idiot around here thinking she can fuck with us."
"How do you know it's a girl?"
"I knew one back in the make-up license exam. Seems like her type …" He looked at her. "That's the one."
"How the heck did you…!?" She clasped her mouth, realizing confessing wouldn't do her any favors. The weird clothes they were wearing meant these were some of the heroes. "I mean…how'd you know it wouldn't hurt you?"
"It freaking obvious for anyone looking at this thing for two seconds. It doesn't cast a shadow." The blonde said with a fiery glare that signaled death.
"I just know when something is actually going to hurt me. I've seen smaller bugs give off bigger danger signals." The wolf guy shrugged. "Your Maharo, right? We got a call reporting you and your brother missing."
"But that was fifteen minutes ago! How'd you find us that fast?!" She was certain it would've taken them an hour or so, if at all.
"I just looked for a really far off cliff where you could fish." He shrugged. "So, what do you guys like to do?"
"I think heroes are cool." Her brother smiled innocently. "The explosion guy seems mean though."
"He is, but he's really good at his job."
"Damn right I am." He growled at all of them, setting a killer gaze from the depths of hell directly at her. "So you're a little brat that likes to mess with heroes, are ya?!" She started to back away in fear. "I'm not afraid to retaliate. Any time I did something bad my mom punched me in the head, and I came out just fine."
"… Are my parents the only ones that didn't hurt me physically?" Why did she suddenly feel like the wolf guy needed a hug?
"Mahoro?" Katsuma asked quietly. "Why do these heroes feel more insane than the last ones?"
"I think U.A. sent a bunch of broken heroes to watch over the whole Island."
"Nah, I stopped breaking all my bones months ago." This island was dead.
