Kinoko sat back as their captain paced back and forth. "Hmm … Shemage, you're going to be the most important member of the team." She was? "We lack anything on a wide scale, so your job is to try and create enough spores to get them to separate."
Separate. The opposing team had her forest king. She didn't want to oppose him, but she wasn't blind enough to just betray her friends like that. The last thing she wanted to do was become like Hagakure. So that meant there was only one solution: Separate Koji from the rest of his team and they could hide away until everyone else took each other out. "Yes mam."
"Pony, your job is to take out Animan." That plan went out the window. "His animals could pose a problem to the mushrooms, but none of them have the brute strength or speed that can keep up with you."
"Wouldn't it be better to take on Creati?" Vantablack asked. "She needs time to concentrate and she has trouble coming up with plans on the fly, doesn't she?"
"You know what happened in the sports festival. We don't know how far they've improved." True enough. "What we should focus on is getting rid of any tools she can use, which means weeding out her teammates. I'll take her head on as to keep her off guard and unable to provide support, but that leaves the problem of Tentacole …"
"He's their search guy, right?" Kinoko decided to add it. "I can use my mushrooms to keep his senses off guard so he goes in blind."
"That could work … just make sure to not get in too close. We don't know how much of that body mass is for his quirk and how much is just muscle."
"Which'll leave Tsukoyomi to me." Vantablack grinned. "He's bold enough to name himself god of the dark. I can definitely use that ego against him. While he's trying to prove himself, I'll catch him off guard."
"Let's smash these lovely people." They turned to Pony. Really could have phrased that better.

The group walked through the city, Animan tensing himself. Due to the lack of animals available to him, a lot of options went out the window. Luckily he didn't need to do much, as Tsukuyomi and Creati opted to provide most of the muscle.
Ironically this made him worried about Bakugo's team. Seeing as the boy was likely to just run off on his own, it meant that Jiro was left with two muscles and no support. The poor girl. He didn't know what to make of Todoroki's team, like Momoma said, it was half great, half not so much. And anyone that doubted Iruma's team couldn't crazy themselves into a win didn't know this class at all.
Regardless, his main focus had to be on his own fight. They had a slight advantage, Creati and Vantablack were at the same yakuza raid, so Momo knew what to expect from him, and he's spent a lot of time with Komori in the past few weeks, so he knew who the REAL threat on Battle Fist's team was. Oh, she was already in action!
"Shrooms!" He shouted out, the mushrooms popping out of the woodwork. "Cover your senses, they do numbers on your internals." He tried to cover his mouth. Right now he needed to get some rats to eat these away. He turned around, only to see Creati grabbed by some big hands and thrown away.
"And just like that, the brains have been separated." She mutters before running after her.
"Hello Mr Anima!" A horn flies from a broken window, socking him in the gut. "Shemage says you're a kind king, so I'll obliterate you in the nicest way possible!" Well lucky him!
"You will unhand my companion or-" Tsukuyomi is cut off by his own partner. "Dark Shadow, it's daytime, obey me!"
"Dark Shadow isn't here right now." A voice spoke out from within. "Leave a message after the beep."
"Fumi, help me, I can't move my arms! And my eyes don't blink right!"
"You've possessed my quirk, you've embraced the abyss, and now you are one with it." Tokoyami looked at 'Dark Shadow' in awe and envy. "How far into the void must I fall in order to reach that level? What price do I need to pay for that kind of power?"
Now was not the time for idle chat damn it! He was currently getting man handled on the gro-oh wait no, he was being rocketed into the air. "Time for a German suplex!" … So this was what it was like to fight a monster.

If Kendo was fully honest with herself, the rivalry Monoma boasted on and on about was annoying but necessary. Like Testsu said back in the Training camp, 1-A had raised the standard of the first year hero class, so how could they be great heroes when they graduated if they couldn't match them?
So they would use this opportunity, dominating 1-A and cementing themselves as equal. It's as it was stated before from Vlad-sensei, their class had more time to train and practice normally, that ment they knew better when it came to the long term. Right here and now? She had the advantage. She wouldn't give Creati the opportunity to create, simply punching her as hard as she could with massive hands.
"Separating me from the rest of my team so I could give them support or lead them. Smart." Momo said in between blocking her attacks with a riot shield. "I wish I had gotten to see this side of you during our internship together."
"Well that's what we get for choosing wrong!" She clasped her hands together for a hammer strike, forcing the girl to abandon her shield for a dodge. "It seems you've gotten better, your creation ability has greatly improved."
"Much to my chagrin." Mono produced a bo staff and started her own offense. "I don't know whether to thank or slap Fat Gum for what he had me go through."
"Body image is overrated. Did you see the competition I had back at the beauty pageant?" She asked, grabbing the staff and using it to swing the girl into a wall. "They brought a sparkle tank. A sparkly tank."
"I saw it, and it still horrifies me." The class 1-A president brought out a net launcher next. "Aoyoma has started talking to Hatsumei and Keranzaki about creating one of his own, although there's a betting pool on whether or not he has a crush on the third year."
"I'll take that action." She shrunk her hand to avoid the net. "After I capture you that is." She rushed in and extended her hand mid swing, creating an instantaneous palm strike that knocked the girl backwards.
"Not before I can guarantee my team the means to succeed." The girl covered her exposed body within that massive cape of hers, before revealing itself to be a cannon.
"A bit overkill, don't you think?" It had to be a bluff. Even if it was soft ammo, the range was too close for comfort.
"Your hands took Katsuki's explosions and Mina's acid right? You can handle something as easy as this." The girl pulled the cord. "Just be lucky I didn't make a rail gun!" Even if she was a nice girl overall, that didn't mean she wasn't crazy. Great, another thing Momona was right about.

Shoji realized something as he tried to fight a girl a third his height. He was the actual weakest of 1-A. Jiro and Iruma were better sensors with their hearing and instincts, Yaoyorozu and Hagakure were better brains, Todoroki and Asui were better sane ones, and his sub par super strength was outclassed by multiple others.
Not to mention how he failed his exam as well, mainly thanks to that bastard Aoyama who he still needed to beat the crap out of. Even Sero did better than him on the provisional license in terms of scores. How he managed to stay under the ridicule of his classmates was a small blessing. Was this why Ojiro didn't mind being so plain and boring?
Well, these were the thoughts that were in his head as his five nostrils and three mouths were currently trying to breathe air. Spores and sensory organs didn't get along well. "Wow, you went down fast. I'm sorry it had to come to this, but our class really did need a win. Even if it came at the price of my forest king." Or maybe he preferred the boring thing because it avoided crazy nicknames like that.
Couldn't they have just placed all the 'saner' students in one class and the insane ones in another? Sure, that would be over half of each class in one room, but he would avoid every mess that showed itself every other day. "Oh, he's down alright! Now the forest king has a friend to join him in the dungeon!" Rocketti cheered, flying on her own horns and scooping him up with two more. "Vantablack, how is it hanging for you?"
"The one who lives and breaths in darkness lives within the moral realm no more, for he could not overcome my might." The edgy student spoke, dragging back Tokoyami, the worst matchup in history.
"Yeah, keep talking. I'll get you back for this!" The living quirk shouted weakly, as he had no choice but to follow along with Vantablack. "I have half a mind to use the summoning seal! You're lucky he's just more annoying to deal with than you."
"You have allies in the netherworld as well? Did your demon end up shockingly weird as well?"
"He's a sparkly dancer whose bloodline forces people to pay attention to him."
"The greatest nightmare one could have. Schenell was just a huge pervert who got beaten up by a love bunny." There was no escaping the insanity no matter what class he was in.
"Hey guys, you have the others too?" Battle Fist said with a drained voice, and noticing her, it wasn't hard to see why. She was dragging an unconscious Momo tied to her in metal cables while also carrying a cannon. "She made sure to make her capture as difficult as possible."
"Wow, and here I thought that explosion was her trying to kill you." Shemage deadpanned. "Then again it is an exercise …" No, his class would definitely do that.
"What a spectacular performance, no doubt the end result of great instruction had hard work from a brilliant teacher! As if there was any doubt about it, the undeniable winner of this marvelous match goes to the amazing team 1-B!"
"How are you making me miss Yamada of all people? That shouldn't be possible." Yes, it seemed to be a very one sided talk compared to the bias of the sports festival teacher.
==
"It's just training, there's always next time." Jiro heard Denki comfort Momo from the shame corner that they now shared with four of 1-B."
"We didn't even make it to the halfway point … all that planning down the drain …"
"It wasn't completely your fault. I simply was set up against someone superior to myself. I have much to learn." Tokoyami spoke in the usual gothic way.
"I got ambushed by mushrooms clogging my senses, so I didn't even get to do anything." Shoji kept his head down.
"Did more than me, I was sent flying around at mach speed before I got suplexed." She saw it from the cams. And she felt guilty that she found it hilarious with a majority of the class.
"YES, YES, YES! The moment the delusion has shattered! That perfect pedestal you create to hold yourself on is no more!" Monoma started his rant, looking more and more insane as the laughter got louder. "Your Class President, who's also a recommended student, lost to our class president, who got in through the entrance test! You're not so special now, aren't you! We've broken past the barrier, we stand on equal ground for the moment! And soon, very soon, we'll have undeniable proof that 1-B superior to you…!"
"Shut up." Jiro sent her jacks into his ear and Denki sent a small charge right into his neck. Weird but oddly fun shutting up a moron with him.
"Wow, you guys were cool." Iruma wasn't helping anyone with his double sided cheer. "You beat the game so fast." And thinking an exercise was a game.
"So both classes have one win now." Uraraka observed the score board. "Ranting aside, that does put us on equal footing. Which means in terms of strength it really can go either way."
"Yes, and next you have to face a recommendation student!" Monoma shouted. "Juzo, give them an intimidating one liner!"
"You're a dumbass." The only upside to this was that 1-B didn't share that massive planet sized ego.
"If that's the case, we should start thinking up a plan now." Mineta gestured to his team and gathered them together. "First of all, don't let Iruma anywhere near Monoma or Shinso. The obvious plan would be to brainwash him out of the competition."
"That's not true." The boy didn't understand huddling whispers either. "I can keep my mouth shut just fine."
"You're ugly." Shinso deadpanned.
"Take that ba-" The boy was cut off as his eyes dulled over, 1-A facepalming collectively.
"Why do you even know it works like that?" She asked him.
"The first time I saw him he looked like an overgrown kid. I just thought of the first thing a kid would get mad about and followed through on it." Sad but true.
"I suppose we're not going to be planning ahead either?" She turned to her own team, all of them sighing at a scowling Bakugo.
"I'm not going to discuss my plan in front of the B-listers. Wait until our match starts." Well that wasn't a no on cooperation. She'd count that as a win in her books.
